[MSEA] Patch V0.67: Magatia, Theme Park Boss and CNY/Valentine Events!

Dear Maplers,

Please be informed that there will be a Game Client Patch and Cash Shop Update for MapleSEA on the 21st January 2009, from 0800hrs to 1300hrs (+8 GMT). The Game Service will be down during this period. Please logout before this time to avoid any loss of items.

The upcoming patch includes:

Magatia Map and Quests added!
Unravel the mystery of Alchemy as you explore Magatia town located in the Nihal Dessert.

Exclusive Malaysia Map Boss Monsters and Quest
Behold the sight of the Targa and Scarlion Boss monsters which you have been waiting for! To start the Malaysia boss monsters quest, journey to the Malaysia Kampung Village and speak to NPC Lam.

Tri-Trio-Triple Event added! (Available from Jan 21st till Feb 24th)
Extra bonus EXP will be given away at every 3rd monster you hunt. The longer you hunt, the more bonus EXP you will get!!! Receive up to an additional bonus of 200% EXP with this special event!

Newcomer Reward Quest added! (Available from Jan 21st till Feb 24th)
Is becoming a newcomer hitting your worry list? Do not fear as NPC Sera in Maple Island comes to your rescue with a Newcomer Bandanna and some Fruity Candies! Now wipe your tears away and stand strong against those snails! What’s more, a surprise reward comes your way with every 10 levelups until you have reach level 50! Grab this opportunity to be rewarded with a Regular Store Permit [3 Days] or a Henesys Hair Style Regular Coupon. Rewards are random.

Chinese New Year “Yuan Bao” Event (Available from Jan 21st till Feb 24th)
Yuan Bao, a golden ingot which symbolizes wealth and prosperity are dropping from all monsters during this joyous Chinese New Year period! Make a trade with NPC Joyce to exchange your ingots for a Hong Bao (known as Red Packet). The bigger the Hong Bao, the higher chance you will get 888,888 mesos from NPC Cai Shen!!!

“Dong Dong Chiang” Event (Available from Jan 21st till Feb 24th)
Celebrate the “Year of Ox” with the most majestic lion dance in MapleSEA! Speak to Yuan Bao Fo conveniently located in most towns to travel to a special event map where the playful Dong Dong Chiang hides!

Mind of Maple Necklace Quest added! (Available from Jan 21st till Feb 24th)
There’s a legendary necklace called the Mind of Mapler that everyone would like to have their hands on… Once the Gate of Time opens, Tian Jiang will bring blessing to everyone who possessed it. Visit Tian Jiang as only he knows the secret behind the necklace.

Valentine’s Day Heart Quest is back! (Available from Feb 2nd till Feb 15th)
Did you enjoy making the Heart Chocolate and Chocolate Basket for your loved ones last year? Ace of Hearts is back again to help you with the perfect Valentine’s Day gift!

Awesome Gift for Valentine’s Day Event added! (Available from Feb 2nd till Feb 24th)
Collect 10 Heart Shields from an opposite gender and add a Couple Heart Chair to your collection. A lovely effect will be activated when you sit next to a character of the opposite gender who has the Couple Heart Chair.

Rose Drop Event added (Available from Feb 2nd till Feb 15th)
A set of 4 Valentine Roses are scattered around MapleSEA. Party up with your loved one and start hunting for it!

Malaysia Exclusive Map Updates!
- Fashionistas look out for the new Hairstyles and Face Looks implemented in the Trend Zone Metropolis’ beauty salons.
- New gachapon machine is added in the Kampung Village!
- Local specialties potions are added in the Kampung Village.

New Horned Tail Conditions implement!
1) User will now require a Horned Tail Ticket that is necessary to be in the inventory during the boss fight. Otherwise, user will be disconnected.
2) Throughout the horntail duration, only the 30 characters that are registered in the Horntail Squad List can remain in the 3 maps. Any other characters that are in the maps but not registered in the list will be disconnected immediately.

Christmas events and NPCs are removed.

OMG this is SOOOOOOOOOOO sweet. I'm joining back maple after a 1 month break!

Things that I'm interested in -

Tri-Trio-Triple Event - Holy pomegranate...+200% EXP? O_O An Orange Mushroom gives 15 exp. If I got to that +200%, would that give me a total of 60 exp (4x) or 45 (3x)? :X

Newcomer Bandana - Although the stats are probably nothing decent, a hat is a hat. I doubt gMS would get this though.

Couple Heart Chair - Collect 10 shields from the other gender? Wuzzah? :o

As far as the Polar Bear chairs, I'm going to assume that they were meant as Set-Up. I don't see them as any kind of weapon except for a 2h BW, but even then that would be...out there.

By the way, It seems that The quest " Mind of the Maple necklace" requires you to play gatchapon to complete the quest. Look at the cash items section,Maple necklace Gem much?

wow... nice!

This new HornTail implementation seems to prevent Hackers from doing anything in my eyes. Not sure how that would prevent people from Holding the cave... if that is even the purpose of the new system.

seems like asiasoft has taken to the idea of collect items dropped by all monsters and turn them in for a reward type quests, hopefully NOA loves them too cause I like them myself.

as to the chair i welcome them as much if not more as others

on to the main attraction +200% exp woot and its not just during a specified time that i monst likely wont be on (assuming NOA adds this one)


looks like an epic patch for you SEA players hopefully ours is just as epic with Magatia PQ and most if not all of your guy's quest/event additions

Anyways, i dont think the necklace is permanent. Good stuff from Asiasoft always expires. Either that or its Gachapon-exclusive, and probably untradeable. That way they can make more money cos more people would gach... Makes more sense than if the necklace/quest item for necklace is tradeable.

the patch is nt up yet,i mean the client for it

but the patch link is up,u can patch ur MSEA files alrdy,of coz,after patching u cannot use it till tml's patch
