Just remember that theres artists in there from kingdom hearts and lots of other games. It doesnt really confirm anything, other than the xenoblade one maybe.

Yoko Shimomura's inclusion makes me hopeful for a Dream Team stage, with Dream Team music.

Random: Assuming Sakurai was working on a new playable duo, Wouldn't it be awesome if he added the Mario Bros. Superstar Saga style? Or even a Yoshi with Baby Mario combo.
Off Topic: Is Dream Team actually worth playing? I wasn't impressed with the demo.

The tutorials are a part of why the demo was annoying to me, they were long drawn out explanations. I get that it's to help newer players, but they should allow us to skip it... Let's hope Nintendo makes a proper Paper Mario for Wii/U and 3DS, because as far as I'm concerned there is only 2 games that were ever released, Paper Mario 64 and TTYD. On Topic: How many more pics of the day are left now? I just know Sakurai has been holding out on us!!

I just know Sakurai has been holding out on us!! 15 until the Japanese, launch, but there's no reason to assume they'll stop being posted then. Obviously we'll then know almost everything at that point though, unless he has DLC plans he wants to talk about.

Off topic: I'm pretty stoked for Skyloft and Elite 4 stages. FD doesn't look bad either, but it'll be shoved down our throats and through our feet.
On topic: I dunno if it will or won't. I really liked the idea, but it was just waaaaay too restrictive to make anything nice looking.

Yes, I want it to return. But I don't want the generic crap they included in brawl. Give us a full tileset of all the different games, let us use versions of the stage hazards , really make a stage maker worth using.

I remember of all the stages I had made, the most simplest of designs was popular among my friends. The stage was just the largest box possible with one tiny opening that was offset to the left on the top with no hazards. Two lives, one goal, aim for the opening. Those matches would go on for at least 30 minutes ahaha good times! Here's to hoping for an advanced version of the Stage Creator with more freedom if it does make a comeback.

MariettaRC Wrote:But, but, Super Paper Mario was good! I don't know, they completely did away with the turn based system that they at least brought back for Sticker Star. It was pretty good, and I actually thought that the use of switching between the x and y axis to find secrets and the like pretty clever, but I just couldn't bring myself to finish it much less put it on the level of its predecessors. Super Paper Mario just felt so different without the turn based system, and because of that, when it returned I was so stoked. I actually finished Sticker Star but only because it was so ridiculously short and I honestly enjoyed the music and exploration on a handheld system. At the very least, the best thing Sticker Star did was trick me into feeling like I was playing a good Paper Mario game that belonged on a home console. I suppose I was being a bit to harsh in regards to Super Paper Mario, but I just really loved what 64 and TTYD did for the series, and wish they had stayed true. But alas, what's done is done. Let's hope they get it right next time.

It's typical Mario RPG fare, which is to say, it's pretty Grade A in my opinion. In terms of story it's the weakest out of the 4 but the battle system and overall gameplay takes the best out of all of the 3 previous games and polishes it even further. The glorious amounts of references to Superstar Saga makes even the most skeptical of skeptics hopeful for a full fledged remake/continuation of the Beanbean saga. beanbean 2 electric boogaloo |
