See, I was more amazed that octo-arm waterbending woman DIDN'T EVER ONCE blood bend. Ya know, we've got FLIGHT, LAVA, and COMBUSTION, all pretty advanced forms of their respective bendings...
and she just turns into doctor octopus...

eh, we already had.. 3 bloodbending villains in the first season? her style of water bending was pretty damn unique, so I suppose it still counts.

When Mako cornered Ming Hua and said "You have no water left" and she said "I wouldn't be so sure" I was totally expecting her to make new tentacles out of her own blood. That would have been badass as hell.

I think it's more the fact that she could bend without using her arms- so extremely precise and psychically manipulating things that would normally take significantly more effort than what she was exerting.

firebenders can breathe fire. not impressive.
toph being able to see with earth bending is the closest thing i can equate that woman's bending too: highly specialized and situational brought about for their unique requirements. Sure bae fong learned to use it as well, but she wanted to impress her mother, so her motivations weren't as impressive as "well, I'm blind, but Ima use earth bending as sonar / oh i have no arms! woe is me-- just kidding ima make water tentacles.
Look at Katara in the first series, she made tentacle arms out of water bending in the FIRST SEASON. Still not impressed, and that water bending octopus lady was, to me, the most underwhelming of the villains because of that.

1. The Korra vs. Zaheer fight was TOTALLY reminiscent of the Aang vs. Ozai fight - it's like the fights took place in the same exact location.
2. It's scary how, after two weeks of recovery, Korra is still wheelchair-bound. At the ceremony, you would think she would be limping while relying on someone's shoulder. She was more mobile during the fight, and the poison was running through her system. Let's hope we see her out of the wheelchair in season 4.
3. Kuvira, Kuvira, Kuvira... why does she have the freaking same eyebrows as Zaheer? Obviously she will be a big part of season 4. Suyin's army and trustees (or maybe even Suyin herself) should be under attack and exposed because of what we saw with Aiwei. Why else did she create a secluded kingdom for herself? Did she makes promises with Zaheer, that SHE would be the ruler of the whole world, while every other kingdom would fall to the ground? There are so many questions to be answered, it's crazy. 4. Zaheer's lock-up just screams season 4. He did say that the revolution is just beginning. Let's see the other leaders that will fall.
5. I can't wait to see Kai and Jenorah get married!

wtp was with that ending. So... depressing.

This may be the best season so far, though it's still far from perfect. I wish we knew more about combustion girl. Also, I don't really understand how Lin had made up with her sister before.

Speaking of that, the whole metal city plot seemed quite pointless at first. I'm pretty sure it's all setup for next season wherein the apparent lovechild will take a role.

Speaking of P'Li, she gave some backstory in that episode too right? about Zaheer saving her from being under the control of a Warlord when she was younger (who i'm assuming was Firelord Ozai). Is she related to the original Combustion Man? Daughter perhaps?

I also remembered something about Su.
The Red Lotus members had a lot of problems with being controlled by higher powers, right?
In a previous episode, where we learned the reason why Su and Lin had such a broken relationship, Su and her friends were found to be stealing goods by Lin. That caused Su to run away and join the circus, if I remember correctly.
Toph, their mother, was a police commander = very controlling, higher power.
Su was probably frustrated at first, and continued to be brainwashed by Zaheer (assuming they were lovebirds at the time they were members of the circus and Zaheer had his reasons against higher powers).
This is maybe far-fetched, but a young girl who runs away to a circus like that can be easily influenced.
I also really want to know who the other members of the circus were. It's hard to tell from the picture (oddly, Zaheer and Su stand out). Red Lotus Circus, maybe? I don't know.

I must agree. All she ever did was waterbend well. Whoopdie do da day. You know who else did that? Katara. Hell, I want to say Katara did better. Remember the episode where she goes hunting for her mother's killer? She was bad ass as hell in that episode, and was 10x more dangerous than Ming Hua ever was this entire season.

I want to say that Tonraq was even more dangerous in the finale than Ming Hua ever was. Tonraq was mobile, quick, and using ice and water combinations expertly. Ming Hua was about 99.9% tentacles.

Yeah, you can say that, "Well she had no arms so she's a great waterbender," and you might be right...but that doesn't make a great villain. The fact that no one could beat her until the end is pretty ridiculous, honestly. She wasn't that powerful. She was definitely the weak link of the group.

Now that I think about it, season four kinda yells that it'll be in the fire nation, just look at it season one was almost all in republic city, season two was almost all the time in the water tribes and season three was all in the earth kingdom(with a touch of air nation).

i think, instead of Korra, id rather see the Zuko story (comic book) about the quest to find his mother, and etc, after Zuko becomes fire lord. overall-big-picture, this Korra stuff isnt as captivating, and the writers are taking a lot of liberties due to the Avatar "brand-name" I want this show to reach 10 and more seasons, not just become another Thundercats(1985).... you remember that show? way back when?

Though fans were intrigued by Zaheer and the Red Lotus, the co-creators don’t intend to set up the lone survivor as Korra’s nemesis for Book 4.

“He’s not dead,” Konitezko confirms, “but we do have a new threat and a new enemy for Korra to face.”

“But it all ties in… to Book 3,” he teases.

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

So it looks like Book 4 will be ready to come in January/February 2015, maybe earlier seeing this is the "confirmed" Australian schedule.

THE LEGEND OF KORRA BOOK 3 & 4 AU RELEASE DATE REVEALED

After a hiatus, The Legend of Korra will return to Australian screens. The Legend of Korra fans will be pleased to hear the show’s final season is only a few months away with a Nickelodeon representative telling IGN Book 4 will premiere in Australia in January/February 2015.

Nickelodeon also said Season 3 of the show, titled ‘Book Three: Change’, will premiere sometime in October.

Both seasons will screen on Nickelodeon but will also be made available in full on day one through Foxtel Go and Anytime services, with iTunes following shortly after.

Nickelodeon Australia’s decision to distribute the show through multiple platforms is similar to how the latter half of the show’s third season was distributed in the US via Amazon, Xbox Video, Hulu, Google Play and Nickelodeon’s own on-site streaming service, after the show was abruptly taken off-air mid-season.

For those wondering about Zaheer being such an expert airbender, the creators stated that it was because he was great at martial arts, and since bending is an extension of the body, he was able to master it easily.
