Well honestly if there were any time to start doubting their/his return it's these coming weeks. I don't know how many POTD's are in between the character releases but with less than 20 left how many character reveals can we expect?

I want ness in this game extremely badly ESPECIALLY because of custom moves so i'll still have hope for a little while but dem expectations yakno

Captain Falcon and Luigi were secret characters in past games, yet they got a reveal. I wasn't worried before that.

Of course, that could also mean they aren't secret characters in this one but I highly doubt they'd have this many non-secret characters in the roster... I also probably missed where they said they wouldn't reveal secret characters?

But like I said, not gonna make any assumptions until release. Even if Ness/Lucas/any other character (man I wish) doesn't get revealed pre-release, seeing a "Challenger Approaching!" with the familiar silhouette will still be a very pleasant surprise.

I think there may be a disconnect between what you guys consider secret characters and what Sakurai may consider secret characters.

For example, would you consider EVERY character that you unlock in Brawl through Subspace Embassy secret characters? I would say no. I would say the only secret characters in Brawl were Toon Link, Wolf, and Jigglypuff, because by the time you completed the campaign they were the only ones you had to find through special means, who weren't included in the single player in any way, and who weren't given to the player. With this logic, neither Luigi nor Captain Falcon were secret characters in Brawl either. They were simply locked characters.

If we have some sort of Single Player thing going on here to unlock characters, then the same thing would be going on here. We really don't know what's going on with Single Player. Yeah, we had that article about the modes of Single Player, but they can easily hide things to keep it a surprise, no one said that those articles were ever going to be 100% accurate.

Right now, there's still a chance for both Ness and Lucas. With Mother's anniversary coming up, they MIGHT reveal them then (and I wouldn't really consider that "doing something for the Mother anniversary" either, to be honest, except maybe an honorable mention), or they could just keep them secret for whatever reason. I don't think that EVERY character in Brawl was revealed before release, and I don't mean the 3 characters I consider secret either. I think Lozmaster had a post a while back (that I'm too lazy to find because 105 pages) that said quite a few characters were not mentioned prior to release in Brawl. Just because Ness and Lucas haven't been mentioned doesn't mean they're gone.

Can you curl into a ball? Arguably the scale might not be believable depending on the game, but it's not impossible to fit yourself into a ball shape. Especially if the inside doesn't rotate because space technology.


Regardless, that doesn't excuse terrible modelling.

I think this will settle any disputes over Morph Ball and her "flexibility". I agree she doesn't have to be so contorted even if she was that flexible, how is that even a stable firing stance?

Why is Pitwo his own character and also nowhere near regular Pit and Palutena? The Mii fighters not being on the top screen seems fishy and counter intuitive.

And another: Why in the pineapple would Ice climbers be DLC? The sirens. They be blarin'.

The people who claim to boycott franchises/companies/games are always hilarious. They never keep their word. I knew a guy who "boycotted" Nintendo over something, sold his Ambassador's 3DS...then bought a new 3DS 3 weeks later after he saw some game he wanted get announced. They're so dumb. It's fun to point, laugh, and move on.

The fact that Isaac from Golden Sun isn't there is the biggest red flag.

-He was an AT in Brawl and also there was GS music in one of the stages as an alternate tune.
-Little Mac was also an AT in Brawl but was upgraded to a full-fledged fighter.
-Psynergy and Djinn are great ways to make up unique move sets. The possibilities for Sakurai are nearly endless. (Judgment FS?)
-He was never shown to be a returning AT in any of the Nintendo directs.
-No one ever found him during the Best Buy demos across America

I'd love to man.

However, this brings back memories of the dark ages of Brawl 2008. I was so hyped up to play Smash online, it gave me the biggest hype in the entire universe to finally be able to play with people across the globe. Can you imagine how shattered my world view was when I actually got to play Brawl online? It was so laggy and terrible it made me want to break down and cry. I felt betrayed. It took seconds for my moves to register, some times it'd lag so bad that it'd take the entire match to do a few attacks. Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection was the shittiest thing I've ever seen and it upset me.

I hope Smash 4's online is nothing like that or else I'll have mini-PTSD flashbacks.

Yeahhh I'm worried about that as well... the main reason for that though is not because of the major failure that was Brawl's online, but because of my experience with the game at the Best Buy event. I got to try out the 3DS version against a friend, and even just on local wireless there was noticeable input lag and sometimes even outright lost inputs. Granted, this was most likely an early build and the netcode probably wasn't nearly as polished as I'm hoping it is now, but... I still have my doubts. I'm still genuinely concerned about this turning into Brawl Online 2.0.

But... just gotta wait and see I guess. Even if the online isn't that great this will still by far be the game of the year for me.

Pic of the day. The treasure chests that appear in Smash Run are very important. Not only do they give you stat boosts, but they also give you custom parts (the bag on the right) and Smash Run powers (the bag on the left). You should pick these up and use them in the next battle!!

…However, watch out for Mimicuties disguised as treasure chests. Run away! RUN AWAY!!

Ok, so which one of those broke her bones when she uses paralyzer?(which is her neutral b's name) Posting a bunch of images of other moves that haven't changed at all just makes it more questionable as to why on earth they screwed up her model for one particular attack.

Lucina/Dark Pit/ Dr. Mario are separated in that *roster* because they're the 3 clones.

We should see a real leak any time now too, so that may well be real or fake, I'm assuming fake though.

Of course, any leak isn't necessarily complete either.
