How was your day?
I can put my hair into a topknot lol

Besides, nothing should be more than $20...and $20 is when people are really charging you for a good hairstyle (or just plain ripping you off).

Dang I used to get 40usd haircuts lmao. But to be fair, I only cut my hair like once in three months and I really loved my stylist. Now my haircuts are roughly 16usd at the current salon i go to.

Montreal Pride. Went out. Somehow, I keep forgetting that I don't really like clubs and bars.

Back to work, I suppose.

Went for brunch at a cute little place with a couple people, had eggs benedict for the first time in my life and gotta say they were a nice change to normal sunny sidr up eggs i est for breakfast normally.
Then I met up with one of them again to make dinner for her family, which consisted of sushi that we made (side note making sushi is actually super fun minus the cutting veggies part) and dough filled with red bean paste and covered in sesame seeds (kinda messed these up cause she put them in all at once so they all stuck together but still very good). probably one of the busier more enjoyable days of my summer this year

Checked my blog fan page and I'm almost at 1500 page likes within 2-3 weeks! Since I was happy, I thought I'd treat myself to breakfast.

I got a job as a English-Spanish Spanish-English translator for Wells Fargo in a call center here. Everything sounds great, I'll sign contract soon and start by the end of this month Big Grin

Is this a full-time or part-time position? What qualifications/references/etc. did you have? Sounds like something I could look into.

It was rather easy to get in for me. They were looking for someone with a high level English, someone friendly, someone's who has had some experience with customer service. I'll be translating what Spanish speaking customers say to someone in the bank who just speaks English. I should note that I don not live in the US, so who knows how it works there. Anyway, I have no qualifications because I haven't finished college yet and I kinda don't really have references because I've never worked before. 6 months experience in customer service seems to be what they're looking for though.

In short, I got in because I can communicate in two languages and I'm friendly.

EDIT: I should also note that I told them I could provide a certificate that I worked for my grandmother's pharmacy when I was young during vacations a couple times, maybe even 6 months. They emphasized a lot in that the certificate must say that I worked for her for at least 6 months.

Not to piss on anyones parade but call centers suck away souls. When I worked customer service at the comptroller office I had shifts regarding the call center portion, still have to cover (everyone in the building has too) during lunch breaks, it's the most brutal soul sucking service I have ever experienced in my life.

I've decided to do some lifestyle changes to get my weight down and I'm already feeling the effects so that's good, I decided to do this because I could bowl a perfect 300 if I could keep my endurance to throw the ball with the same strength, I'm about close to hitting 200ish score, so woo hoo.

My family is going to Florida and unfortunately I couldn't take off because of necessary changes in our building regarding the software we're using and I'm helping teach people how to use the damn thing. So been doing pretty great this month, normally August is pretty bad for me. My financial goals are being met as well, now to just jump back into college and my life is set lmao

Feeling pretty ill today, I think i'm coming down with a cold.

Got a message on skype from someone I didn't expect to ever see again (that guy who supposedly catfished me) he said the reason he suddenly dissappeared was because his mother and sister were killed and he went off the rails and he's only just picking himself back up. Naturally I felt like a monster for demanding proof he's real after he told me all that, but.. damn it, i'm not going to believe he's real for even a second until he shows me proof. I asked him to talk to me again in a week when he has some proof... but eurgh. just total eurgh.

What a horrible situation.

Finally got the all clear from my Dad to get a new hairstyle (though I'm pretty sure if it's a drastic change, like what I want, he wouldn't be too happy) but I'm still pretty iffy on actually getting one. One a scale from one to even, I can't.

I know but I don't think I can get any better without finishing college first, experience or connections. Not to mention that translating is hard and mentally taxing. I don't really know or care if you're actually pissing on my parade, I'm just happy because it's my first job and being a translator will look nice in my curriculum when I move on to something else.

So my neighbor was cutting down a tree, and he didn't do it correctly, it fell in the opposite direction. It hit his neighbors fence and was angled in the worst possible way. Spent about 6 hours trying basic pullying, wedges, even putting 2 by 4's as support along the bottom to try to lift it off the fence. Unfortunately nothing we did worked, it was just to heavy, no one had a chainsaw, we even tried sawing it by hand, did jack pomegranate. lol

My family left for Wisconsin until Tuesday for some funeral related to my grandmother, with my sister dumping her boyfriend yesterday, itll be a nice quiet weekend.

ugh today.

Went to the bank. Wanted to take out £2k and transfer it to my building society account for saving. I can barely hear the guy which wasn't helping but he kept saying he didn't have enough money and i'd have to wait while he gets more. He gets it and then asks for some ID from me because of how much i'm withdrawing. I don't drive, and i don't leave the UK so i have no ID. Everyone is blank. In the end the manager took my dads driving license as a ~special case~ Christ.

Then we go to the Job Centre to ask about how i get my hands on the proof that says i'm allowed to get free pharmacy prescriptions and dental checks and stuff. Woman tells me i need to fill in a form but ~*~They don't have any forms~*~ so she tells me to use their phone to call some number and ask. I do as instructed. Woman on phone is basically like 'the job centre are talking absolute pomegranate and we can't help you and they should know this' We go back to the other woman like the pineapple? She leaves us on a sofa while she finds someone to help.
We get assigned another lady, who gives me a print out that just says how much i get paid a week and says that's my proof. It ~might~ run out after 3 months and i have to come and get another print out depending on who i show it to, but shes not my dentist so she wouldn't know the rules! .... ._.?

We get home. I have a headache and my Dad is talking about how vague and unhelpful the job centre were. eesh.

Went up to college today to figure out where my classes are exactly, to make sure they had my transcript (they did finally), and to get my books at the bookstore. Well finding the classes was easier than I thought, so now I won't be lost on the first day. The bookstore was closing just as I got there, so I'll have to go back next week to pick up my books.

Also found out some gaming convention is gonna be near me in November thanks to a friend, and it's only $5 to go so I'll probably go to that.

I found out my exGF had gone back to her exBF... Not even a week after we broke up. I...I honestly don't have a response to this. It's both pathetic and heart breaking to learn about. She's a peach. Plain and simple. She is a peach a also the C word, but I am going to restrain from using that word here. She is gonna have karma rain down on her when he cheats on her AGAIN.

I'm honestly pissed right now. More pissed than I have ever been and it SUCKS.

I *think* it's a Gibson SG Deluxe 1982, but it might also be an SG Special 1979. Either way it sounds pineappleing amazing and I love it. I need to get a new amp now, my current one is not doing it justice.

Also, sadly, I had to turn down the job in London Frown the trial shift went really well and everyone was super fun to be around, but the time and money it takes to get there and back each day makes it barely worth the effort given how little it pays. If I lived a little closer I'd have done it in a heartbeat though.

Another also, I completely blitzed through A Storm of Swords: Steel and Snow, started reading it on Monday and finished it this evening.
