Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion

I just think that if Captain Toad gets his own stupid adventure, why not Waluigi? I prefer pretty much everyone else over Mario in his own series, because they usually have extra traits like how Luigi jumps higher or toad runs faster like in the Super Mario Bros games.

Uh, that would be because Captain toad has been in the last 3 mainline 3D Mario games? Even more if you take the idea that he is /the toad/ as fact, which would mean he's at least briefly appeared in every 3d mario. Plus being the one from all the tennis/party spinoffs

My only qualms are that Waluigi has been around for so long, and is clearly part of this quartet of gentleman that like to wear hats with letters on them, one of which the entirety of the franchise is named after, is just tossed aside and never given any chance to develop. Unlike his mustachioed counterparts, who each have their own line of games. Sure, give Toad a game, after all he has been around longer, but I think somewhere down the line the truly forgotten Bro. deserves to be recognized.

In an interview they said that "Toad" and "Captain Toad" are separate characters. So the one in Mario Kart for example is a different character.

Interesting enough for people to straight up ask nintendo if they would make a game for him, realize it would be piss easy, and thus validate a game about him anyway. Waluigi himself isn't interesting to people nor has he been in games or mini-games that people like enough to get his own game.

Waluigi's MKDD character select noise is my text alert tone. He's hilarious. Waluigi as a playable character in Smash Bros would be awesome but I don't see it happening, he's not a popular enough character.

Therein lies the problem, Waluigi is never given a chance to amount to anything more than Bad Luigi. Like Wario is the bad Mario, we know that Waluigi supposed to be bad Luigi, but we don't know what makes him so bad. What makes Wario an established character is that he was able to secure his own four game land series (which was like turning Mario into a juggernaut), and they showed us how he dealt with things and how he was focused on the money and treasure, not the damsel in distress which I guess is "bad". Wario was able to set himself apart and develop like Mario did before even Luigi was able to make his solo debut. How are people supposed to develop interest in a character that has pretty much no characteristics? That being said, my interest lies in the fact that he's so mysterious yet he dons a very distinctive cap worn by the franchises most well known. Although it may be a waste of time to make a sole Waluigi game, which is why I suggested the Mario&Luigi style, it would at least give him a chance to become more than a tennis playing, golfing, partying, kart racer, maybe even....likeable. Plus, a game like that would give them an excuse to make Wario a badass tackling linebacker again.

Meta Knight's Up Special Move, Shuttle Loop, changed quite a bit in this game. The glide is gone, and the attack slashes opponents twice while spinning in a large loop. This has turned into a highly technical and effective move.

This was also revealed to be a thing today. I want it.... So far it's only slated for a European release. (Getting really tired of this seriously being a thing...)

Happy that Meta Knight is returning, pretty fun just pressing B all day

I hope they do a nice special edition Wii U as well with a gamecube adaptor thrown in for good measure. They will probably just do a boring premium bundle with a download code though.
