lollolol you go to Current Events on GameFAQs

Quote:I met her online, yaya. I made a forum + website + guild thing back in '04 for a Maplestory (lol) guild. We met when she went to the forum and applied to be in the guild. She seemed cool so I just messaged her and talked for a bit. We spend a lot of time talking in game at first and then moved to mostly AIM. She had a bf at the time but they weren't really close and she didn't like him much at this point.

I didn't want to get involved in something like that but liked her, I was pretty LOL @ online relationships at that point too. Buut we spent a lot of time talking, etc. She knew I liked her a lot as a lot of the guild-members and friends always mentioned the two of us and I was pretty obvious. She broke up with her bf after about two weeks of us hanging out and stuff. We got 'together' (if you can call it that?) and yeah.

We webcammed / talked on AIM / talked on MSN / talked on Ventrilo / Phone / Texted a lot. Met up with her during december -> january and just got home a week ago. Going to move there at the end of the class, she's coming here during her break and me going during summer.

Yaya, online works.

What precisely IS the logic of laughing at "lolonlinerelationship?" Some people meet at school or church, decide they like each other, date, fall for each other, get married. Why is it inferior to meet over the computer? I have a couple of friends that are dating each other, that are separated from each other by thousands of miles, they're virtually sure that they'll get married. At the time I am writing this they are together irl because she flew from the Netherlands to El Salvador to spend some time with him. Being in the relationship helped the girl get her bearings straight, so she became more driven and more fit by being in it. I personally am in an online relationship myself, my girlfriend is wonderful.

It's not even a matter of being closed-minded, it's a matter of interfering with other people's personal affairs. It is rude, ignorant, and uncalled for. Flowsion has the right to date anyone he wants, as does my friend, as do I. If you do not feel online relationships merit your time, that's perfectly fine, date people from school or church. I won't say anything to you about it. Same as that, it's not your place to tell people that meeting over the computer is "lol."

I really dont think that's the case. He already said at the top that its a "lololo" at going to the Current Events section of Gamefaqs. The post doesnt seem to have been edited so I think that was his original intentions. I dont use Gamefaqs so I really have no idea... what's so lol about the Current Events section of Gamefaqs? Someone care to explain? And why <this> post, about Trunks' relationship? Im sure he probably has other posts in there too that you could've quoted, not to mention you quoted the post, not the link, which would've made more sense.

In all honesty, when I first read this thread, I thought it was about Trunks' online relationship as well and basically thought "It's another thread laughing at people and their online relationships" so perhaps the thread title/the way the thread was structured wasnt very effective at getting the thread starter's point across.

As for the topic of online relationships, Ive always been a believer that it's not how you meet, its how you carry about the relationship afterwards. If they're taking this relationship seriously, then there's no problem with it; It doesnt matter where they meet. Of course, those maple relationships that go "L> GF 45+ MUST HAVE NX AND BE CUTE etc." via super megaphone are just stupid but if two people are willing to treat it as a legitimate relationship (which I dont see why it shouldnt be), then why not let them?

And on a different note: Lol @ the person thinking CE stood for CheatEngine.
