Finally a fire rune for Disintegrate, even if it's just Convergence. I'm still hoping for a fire Arcane Torrent.

That's an interesting change and could possibly help, but the fundamental mechanic of the skill's randomness and specific pathing speed made its effective damage 1/3rd of its rated damage unless you were fighting a super-large monster or at the end of a corridor. I've always been a proponent of just making the Twister move slower to improve its effectiveness. It's still terrible and this change does nothing to address the main issue that Energy Twister only ever hits for 2 seconds unless the monster is retarded and runs away from you or you're in the end of a corridor so it can only travel into walls. It might hit for 3 seconds against bosses if they're big enough but that's completely meaningless if it's only usable as a swap skill, i.e. unusable in Greater Rifts.
I like the new Lightning Rune for Arcane Torrent though. Would look pretty cool if it were actually blue instead of still purple. Probably gonna level my Wizard on live and build Lightning now.

I made a suggestion for a lightning rune similar to what we have right now, though I imagined it to be more like a Conduit effect which would probably clash too hard with Wreath of Lightning. The damage is horribly low though, 135%/s. Might be feasible for up to T1 clearing with full Lightning gear and a Schaefer's Hammer, though the proc from the hammer itself and likely Wreath of Lightning would be much more significant.

Yeah the change to Energy Twister didn't do much. The only time I've ever found ET useful was when I had Mirror Images and fought a bunch of enemies in a small room/hallway...and there were better options for that situation anyway. In any other situation I feel that ET is still way too weak and costs too much AP to be worth using unless more is done to it.
I feel like something more should have been done to Disintegrate - Convergence besides just making it fire damage. The width increase isn't terrible, it's just not really noteworthy compared to the other runes. The new Arcane Torrent rune looks like it just made lightning a much more viable element for Wizards.

I've been having massive lulz with a Witch Doctor cache speedfarming build since practically every single one of my class needs a Ring of Royal Grandeur. I opened ~10 earlier this week with no results. Tried again, blazing through Normal Mode. Clocking ~8-12 minutes per A1 cache.

Main things are Soul Harvest - Vengeful Spirit, Hex - Angry Chicken, Locust Swarm - Pestilience, and Spirit Walk - Honored Guest (to spam Locust Swarm when needed. Grave Injustice was way too hilarious on Normal Mode. I pretty much do drive-by AoE explosions and refresh everything very quickly while continuously moving. Still needed Zombie Dogs so I can run at 155% constantly with Fierce Loyalty. Creeping Death so I can just cast Locust Swarm once to save mana, and cackle as it keeps spreading to everything else across the map. Piece the Veil is a no-brainer.
Opened some more caches today all stockpiled on Demon Hunter.
Opened 16 caches.
MFW I hear 3 "shiiing".

Grin Reaper summons appear to break summon caps on skills, there's no limit to how many spider queens they can spawn.
since the reaper spawns in two clones of you that use your skills with the runes you have picked at normal damage

I really wished I started on Crusader much earlier. He's so insanely fun to play it's ridiculous. This is how I wanted Barbarian to feel: like a god. Crafted 2 Aughilds, and found 2 pieces of Blackthorns so I can pretty much farm T1 comfortably and efficiently.
I got lucky and grabbed a Darklight from Kadala. Not Gyrfalcon's Foote like I intended, but it's still amazing playing a Fist of the Heaven build to drop so much lightning from the skies that it makes my screen lag. Channeling Pylon + Fist of the Heavens + Darklight = so much holy element charged bolts clogging the screen it's like back to the D2 days of Lightning Enchanted mobs.
Also got Harrington's Guard, and 2/5 pieces of Akkhan. Few steps closer to the Blessed Shield build.
I also have WAY too many Rift fragments. At 300+ I wouldn't ever be able to go through all of them post 2.1. Heck, even 100 fragments would be a lot (aka 100 runs). Regardless, it feels good to get lots of relevant loot. Still sad my Witch Doctor has yet to nab TMF, MoJ, Taskers, OR Flayer after so long.

I've been trying to figure out how to best set up my Arcane Torrent - Static Discharge build, and I've come to this so far

My intention is to go to Torment 6, so I can't use Shocking Aspect for damage when I need all the mitigation from Prismatic Armor. I might not even be able to use Electrify and have to have Deflection instead, especially if I'm solo.
Cold Snap came out on top as a support because it can be cast without breaking channeling. Supermassive is there for utility, despite needing to break my channel. I'm still not 100% sure I need it, because monsters either run into me and I just channel through them, or they run away and I need to Black Hole, and when it's over, they run away again anyways. I'm running Strongarms because they're the only Bracers I have, but I could just craft some Aughild's instead.
I gave Lightning Storm a try, and having to recast Blizzard so often is too detrimental. It's a bit AP expensive, which isn't a problem for me, but the 6s duration is too short to be worth breaking Arcane Dynamo to begin with. If you run Mirror Image though, their Lightning Storms stack on top of yours giving +60% Lightning Damage, but that's even more channel breaking plus moving, and two skill slots.
I'm hoping to start getting gear soon, but I'm not too sure if I want to focus all that hard until the patch actually comes out. I'm still trying to get Helltooth on my Witch Doctor with no luck. Spent like 2000 on Helms and got a Grin Reaper at least. Hopefully, I can get a Myken's Ball of Hate and Velvet Camarel so I can Chain Lightning well, otherwise, I might just switch to Lightning Blast or even Arc Lightning just to do more damage/proc. Arcane Dynamo is just too powerful snapshotting to a channel to give up though.
I'd like to at least get a nice ring to put a Taeguk in. It works really well since it seems to stacks once per 3 ticks, though I was hoping for the obviously overpowered once per tick. With all the armor at Rank 50+, it seems pretty BiS for any channel build, if not any build at all. I'm still wearing a Legacy Stone of Jordan with -5 Arcane Torrent on it, which helps a ton, but if I can get another ring to replace that as well...
Otherwise, I guess I need two piece Vyr's if I ever want to wear something that isn't Magefist. Though I hear Tasker and Theo + Lightning Hydra is pretty good, that seems pretty wasteful. Wish there were lightning gloves.
I also hit the 1,000,000,000 mark for the Monk healing achievement. Only 1b more to go ._.
