v1.51 Bugs and Glitches

I still have all of my occult cubes.

There are two kinds, I'm assuming you have the tradeable ones.

Happens to me on my laptop, on a character that has nothing on it. I just whisper a person (it won't show up), and then go back to all chat and it's back to normal.

I've tried that, doesn't work on my end.

I'm also having issues with chars entering anything with a cut scene on this account...I get the black top/bottom bars and freeze at the last frame. Can't even get past the cut scene.

That sucks. My setup is at 92 and I was hoping to max it this week :-(

This crashing and lag is ridiculous.

The "menu key", at least for me, no longer activates whatever I put on "3" any more

Updated the first post. Turns out Hectors don't drop map pieces for Alcaster's book of ancient questline, though the quest states they should.

A lot of quests seem to be broken, unfortunately. I did not see this in the initial post so I'll throw it down here:

Dark Nependeath kills do not properly count toward the kill count for the Sap of Nependeath quest, making the entire Nependeath Juice questline impossible to complete.

Not sure if it's related to the account buddy system but ever since the v150 patch the messages I send to my buddies do not get seen. It was intermittent until recently where I will not be able to communicate to any of my buddies within 30s of logging in. I can however see my buddy chat.

I feel like I've been 'forum hell ban'ned except exclusively for buddy chat.

Did you try both types of Dark Nependeath? There's one that spawns in the Strolling Path, and one that spawns in the Disposed Flower Garden.

The quest in Magatia where you have to eat the pill is broken. You can eat the pill but the NPC (Russelon) doesn't acknowledge you have done so. Several attempts and a couple of relogs did not fix the problem. You can see that the pill has given you an aura of some sort. Apparently the condition is properly recognized.

Odd, I remember doing that quest on the NL I made for Rising Heroes Elite, and it worked fine on him. Maybe it's one of those weird things, like doing it in a party/expedition makes the quest not work. Though, maybe they broke it with Shade's patch, I ended up skipping Magatia in favor of test out Heliseum quests on him, so I haven't done the quest this patch.

For another glitch though, "The Queen's Tea" quest in Ariant is broken. The Fairy Tea Leaf item doesn't drop from either version of Desert Bunny. (The quest mentions the ones in the East Entrance to Ariant, which are Female ones, but I did make sure to check both of them.)
Another broken quest is "Please Find Dargoth Some Snacks" in Verne Mines(Edelstein), the Bedrock Fragments don't drop from Big Spiders there.
Also for "Manji's Gladius" quest, the Piece of Ice is much rarer than any of the other items required for that quest. It makes the quest take much longer than needed, and it makes it seem better to just skip that quest and do all of the other ones to level.
And lastly, there's one quest in Orbis that isn't technically broken, but feels like it was meant to be changed. I believe it's something like "Helping Kriel out", one of the first quests you do in Orbis. During her quest dialog, she seems to try and for two different quest objectives - One involving hitting boxes around town for 20 empty bottles, and the other involving killing Jr Kitties for their horns and such. When you actual obtain the quest, you end up really having to collect bottles around town, but seeing her mention two different objectives makes me wonder if that quest was meant to be changed. Honestly, the 20 potion collecting thing is dull for a quest nowadays, and it would make sense for it to have been changed into something more appropriate for a level 70 to be doing - in this instance, killing Jr Kitties.

I did it a few days before the Shade patch on one of the several mules I was training to 120. I will have to rotate through them and see which one still has the quest unfinished. I'll give it a try and see if it was fixed in the Shade patch. (EDIT: Actually, I remember that it was on my lolPaladin. I wanted to see how the now low level experience had changed since v1.50 and that's what I used. I'll give him a try a little later.)

And +1 about the Ice piece. It took forever for me to get that drop.

If there is, it would still be better to increase the drop rate of the Piece of Ice from Ice Drakes. With the Rising Heroes Elite update, most quests related to having you leave the current questing area were changed to have you stay within that area instead. Yeah, Ellinia's not that far away from Sleepywood, but it's a lot better for players to be able to do all of their quests without having to take unnecessary detours whenever possible (It still bugs me that there are 2 Ariant quests that waste your time by having you go all the way to Wiz the Librarian in Ludibrium TWICE...). That being said, I'll look into that - I guess until they Nexon fixes the drop rate for Ice Drakes, it's nice to have a work around to make the quest go smoothly. It seems having the Hero's Gladius in your inventory gives you a buff when fighting Lord Balrog, so it's nice to have that quest completed.

oddly I just need a flaming feather to finish that quest.

Regarding the Wing Beat/Frozen Orb/etc glitch: I've just discovered you can use it to disconnect botters at Stronghold if they have Kishin set up botting too. Kind of hope it doesn't get fixed for a while now so I can perform some vigilante justice

My Demon Avenger starts gliding... and can't stop until hitting the ground.
This has a weird effect where after I "cancel" my glide I can spam attacks while zipping around at full glide speed.
