You can get 4 levels a day from 100-120 and 3 levels per day from 120-140 just by spending 10 minutes on 2 Zak runs.

You can even get more exp from Chaos Zak, I soloed the arms at lvl 130 and got a nice amount of exp. Also Evo world with cores is a better option than MPE for shade IMHO, unless you can one hit mobs with the spirit claw.

Mind if I ask your range for soloing the arms? I haven't thrown any funds at my Shade, so his range is only 50k with about 40% boss, and I'm thinking that isn't nearly enough, but I have never Czak before, so I'm not sure.

Bodyguards with 2x card + 2x buff + Soul Splitter is also amazing as well for 140-150/160.

Well, as a lvl 150 now my range is 50k max, but I have full empress set with 30% boss and all link skills, I soloed arms too at lvl 138-39 not sure but I know it was before 140 because i was still using my Revolution knuckle and I had a 37-40k range but it was kinda horrible because I was pretty much waiting for splitting cooldown to be over to finish arms.
If you are going to solo CZak's arms, finish the right side first and then kill the left side, because the left side seduces and It's a big problem if all arms are alive.

I honestly chalk it up to poor writing. I acknowledge even sullen stories can have a powerful impact, but I feel Shade's has no purpose other than to be utterly dismal. I would have liked it if Maple World had forgotten about Shade, but he'd forever have a home in the Fox Village. Or even if he became one with the guardian spirits and watched over Maple World/Grandis that way. But no. No one remembers me. No one will ever remember me. Let's fight the Black Mage for some reason.
It doesn't even make sense why everyone suddenly forgets Shade when he goes from world to world. It really makes living seem pointless.

Well, the point is that despite the fact that no one will ever remember him (though, there are hints that people might remember him eventually), he'll still fight against the Black Mage because it's the right thing to do. He's a hero; he's not doing it for glory or recognition, he does it because it's the right thing. That's good enough for him. It's pretty cliche, but it totally works for me.
Also, I believe it shows some character growth, but the only indication you have of what Shade used to be like is a throwaway line during his quest to communicate with Freud which implies that he was suicidal before he joined with the other heroes, and now he's choosing to live on rather than give up.

It's a lot of work for not much gain. Arm 1 on normal is 8M HP for 650k exp. Arm 1 for CZak is 334M HP for only 1.4M exp. 40x the effort for only 2.2x the exp. I'd rather just do the 2 minute normal zak run.

And if you quickly grab a rune before running into Zak, that 2.2x difference turns into 1.1x. It's not worth doing CZak arms for exp unless you can kill them extremely fast.

God, I'm just doing that tomorrow. I finished Czak, but it took a couple minutes, which is way too long for someone impatient like me. Thank GOD the prequests are finally gone, though. Loving that part.

Your explanation gave me a clearer perception on the story... and I like it a bit more. Thanks for that!

Freud looks more and more like the leader of the Heroes with each Hero released. And yet, he's the only one that did not survive till today.

Or he could just stop traveling between grandis and maple world. Which is why it all seems a little bit silly. Ok, no-one remembers him, but it's perfectly doable for him to build a new life once he realises how it works, which is fairly early on.

Maple XO is the worst thing ever. You go to a map with 99 other people and if you don't stop lagging by the time the first question is over, you auto-lose the entire thing. I just got out of a game where only 6 out of the 100 managed to get through the first question because everyone else was still floating in the air.
