....holy crap time to get enhancing.
Better wait with enhancing
With the new system it is very easy to get at least 10-15 stars if I see the video of @HighOnMushrooms .
With that I think it is fairly easy to enter those maps

The new enhancement system is great, I love it Basically, now if you fail an enhancement, it will not destroy your item, it will just take away 1 star. The destruction rate doesn't even appear until after the 10th star, and it starts off pretty low as well. Also, once you hit 10/15 stars, your item can't go lower than that many stars anymore (still can boom though). The only thing I'm worried about is the massive meso cost, might get very expensive if you want to star a lot of your equipment.

I'm not sure if the bonuses have changed but here you can see the glove will gain attack (although its at the 24th star haha).

That would be great for GMS. What happens with existing enhancement scrolls? Do they still work/are they even worth using?

You can still use your (Advanced) Enhancement Scrolls up to the 15th star (which will work in the old way, failure = destruction), but if you want any more than that you’ll have to use the new system.

I still like playing my MM... But knowing Nexon, they might just remove the cooldown cutter on snipe or something else in the next Tespia patch... I'll still continue playing it though, but I'm pretty much expecting more balances and whatnot.
Also, would you guys like it if they made getting most of your 5th job skills through quests like when 4th job first came out? It'd be pretty nostalgic but I wouldn't mind putting in effort to getting them.

It'd be a massive meso sink, not sure what unfunded players would think about this.

the ones who hear the news and dont really do much will complain. It's healthy for the game in the long run

It being a massive meso sink is the reason I like it. Even if I can't afford the more expensive enhancements myself, having large amounts of meso leaving the system will be healthy for the GMS economy in the long run.

ok i'm really liking this, what are those chances though? certainly hope the 2.0% isn't the success chance @_@
but it's really good, low levels can just enhance everything for cheap, which i HOPE allows them to boss for stuff worth something

Hmmm This enhancing system should lower the meso:nx ratio as it makes meso a lot more useful

I have bad news for you, it's the success chance.
Success chance
lowering one star chance
Booming chance.
It'd be logical to have events increasing the success rate or eliminating the boom rate.

As an relatively-unfunded player, I'm down for it. The first few enhancements aren't THAT costly. And it's not like you really need to enchant every single piece of equipment you ever get. I would save that for whatever the highest thing I feel like I could obtain is.
Another thing to mention is that it's less of a risk from how it works currently. I never equipment enhance anything I currently own, because of how risky it is; I'd rather not have my best piece of equipment blow up on me. This at least ensures you can aim at 10 stars on everything, at least, which is much better than being afraid to go past 1 star lol.
EDIT: Oh, another thing for me personally, is that I never buy equipment from another player. It's just a thing I have, I can't use something that I didn't find/make myself, it bugs me too much. Because of that, I've never really had much need for mesos, I made enough to fund my potions - and even then I craft my own potions anyways so~ This would give me something worth spending mesos on.

I'm not surprised that it's that low. From what I can tell from the screenshot, that glove is at 23 stars. That's a lot of stars.

How else is Nexon going to create "pseudo" difficult bosses in Maple?

Are you able to use protection scrolls to prevent item explosions still?

Not sure about prices (I don't think people have Tyrants in Tespia lol) but yes their cap is lower. For lvl 140+ equipment it's a max of 15 stars, compared to regular equipments' 25. And I think stars after 15 give higher stats.

I would assume so

HighOnMushrooms; Come to think of it, did they implement the Equipment Trace system or scrap it entirely?
And the videos don't seem to be working. Maybe it's a problem with my computer. Guess I'll wait for someone to upload it to Youtube.
