Knights of Cygnus Skill Tables

Hazzy Wrote:Wouldn't getting 1 sprite first help a lot more than the extra 5 or so HP you'd get from starting it off later? Before you get any attacking skills, a constant thing dealing damage would be great. :o Heck, you could probably level just by walking back and forth in HHG1

modular Wrote:i pondered that, but then thought immediately of the orbis exchange quest. you only need like 1000 trade ins to get to 13.

It's better just to get Max HP first. You will be 13/14 by the time you leave Ereb. They have quests after you advance to kill 30 slimes/mushrooms/pigs. That levels you fast. So getting 1 sprite at 14 isn't a big problem.

heres a big question i thought of:
do the summons have mastery? or is theirs tied to yours? they have their own attack power...

They probably have a fixed 60% 80%some arbitrary number mastery like every other summon in the game.

You still need to use attacks. Sprite speeds that up if you can't afford pots (which isn't that uncommon)

Your telling me you can't level from 10-14 without a sprite? It’s ridiculously easy as a Cygnus character. They don’t have to add to hp recovery first to unlock the hp increase, not to mention the instant 10 AP they have over a level 10 warrior. The quests after you advance at 10 level you without you having to do any real work at all. By the time you leave Ereb you can have your level 1 sprite anyway without having to compromise any HP gain.

I'm really interested in a Soul Master. They get Brandish too, don't they?

nerfed though, i think max lvl brandish is 20 for them meaning they only can hit 2 monsters? correct me if im wrong

i believe it was the same as regular brandish except it capped at 240% or 220%, (vs 260%) which doesnt really matter.

Yea, at level 110, iirc.

Adding one sprite can't slow your killing down. Rolleyes
I loved using it on ranged characters. <3

Honestly, I'd rather have the 6 more HP than put one point in Sprite at 10. I really don't care about my killing speed at level 10, lol.

Yeah, since 1 sprite early on doesn't make much of a differece later, but the extra 20 hp can really help (a total of 20 snail hits! OMG!)

Whoa. I'm thinking I like Flame Wizard and Soul Master the best now Chin The elemental cancel thing is cool. I'll probably just end up making one tied to my Corsair and another tied to my BM for epic fun on both accounts.

I find it slightly disappointing that all but the Mage class are limited to only 1 weapon type.

I still have no idea which class I want to play when we get this. lol

Yay, more info on Soul Masters! You gotta love those gold colored icons!

So, the order of skills I'm going to get:

1st job:
MaxHP increase->Max
Sprite->1
Power Strike->Max
Slash Blast->Max
Rest to Sprite

2nd job:
Soul Runner->1
Soul Blade->1
Mastery->6
Booster->6
Mastery->19
Soul Blade->Max
Rage->Max
Soul Runner->Max
Booster->Max
Rest->FA(21)

Good job Isaac!

EDIT: You can get up to 22 FA in the 2nd job, which seems to be enough to boost the damage of PS. You could also remove 9 points of booster if you don't mind the shorter timer, but a nearly sync booster/FA may help you. Since you get 69 more AP I don't think 1 mastery matters.

Does anyone know if ACA/Brandish is really obtained at lvl110? That would mean max FA+PS would be needed for single targets, as you will use Soul Blade/Soul Blow to mob (and those don't activate FA).

It's not like wearing a wand of a staff changes anything really. Most will probably just go for the level 70 elemental wand anyway.
