Mario Kart 8 Southperry Community

Well, I am open to other game reviewers. I don't really search for reviewers or w/e so if anyone got any "first impressions" on stuff like that, I'm all ears. :b

I played both versions at best buy, and outside of the control scheme being awkward at first (But it's quickly relearned) It played flawlessly. There was no framerate dipping, I didn't notice any input lag, and everything flowed just as smoothly as the Wii U version did. Granted, the assist trophies/Pokemon/other stuff only go at 30 frames per second instead of 60, but that's to make sure the game maintains 60 FPS overall no matter what. I'm going to buy both versions of the game, and I do hope that they come up with some sort of new controller attachment (sorta like the circle pad pro) that is easier on the hands. Not very likely though.

Otherwise... I'm going to end up destroying my XL from overplaying it...

If the 3DS is popular (and the odds are high for this, considering tournament restrictions and whatnot. no venue fee, wii Us are expensive and there's a high risk of theft, etc) i'm sure a 3rd party 3DS controller adapter would be possible.

They increase your top speed by a teeny tiny amount. I don't really notice the difference, but they also unlock new parts every 100.

From what people have been saying, max coins (10) increase your top speed by +0.5. Also the mini boosts coins give is also a factor. Coin item is godlike after you get hit by a blue shell or another item that puts you to a complete stop.

Was about to come in first on my first world wide online race and 2 seconds before crossing the finish line I was disconnected from my wifi.

router choice is dependent on how much you are willing to pay for. A common choice would be Linksys routers, as a good portion of them can be bios flashed with DDWRT for better router controls


side note: feel free to add Dudewitbow if im magically on. my wiiU isnt plugged atm, sorta lazy to get it out right now.

Haha I wouldn't worry to much about it.
I would recommend watching out for Sophie as I think she is quite good.

Also, as I've beaten everything on 3 stars.. I would like to give you a small warning in regards of
Dolphin Shoals.. I'm not sure why but this is the only level that took me several times to beat because
they all seemed to be a lot faster than me without any reason at all.

A few other stages people tend to have issues with on 150cc (Don't worry about 50,100 those are easy)
In order of how annoying they are:

1: Dolphin Shoals (Seriously, it's so much worse than the rest).
2: Shy Guy Falls.
3: Music Park.

Oh and don't forget that if you finish for example mushroom cup on 150cc with 3 stars, you'll automatically get 3 stars on the
mushroom cup in both 50 and 100cc. I found out to late myself haha.

Dolphin Shoals is also the one course that took me multiple tries to 1st place. The stupid game gives the AI insane +Water Speed.

Also I'm up for some races tomorrow, if I remember. Just set up a time and I'll go from there.
