The New Iron Arrow
#1
In Patch 0.56, IronArrow got a little upgrade. Other than being stronger at lower levels, the multiplier seems to have been reduced from .82, to .9

New Iron Arrow:
Min: 180->162->145->131->118->106
Avg: 220->198->178->160->144->129
Max: 280->252->226->204->183->165

Old Iron Arrow:
Min: 180->147->121->99->81->67
Avg: 220->180->148->121->99->82
Max: 280->230->188->154->127->104

IA to AB is now:

#| Bomb | Iron |
1| .56% | 220% |
2| 238% | 418% |
3| 420% | 596% |
4| 602% | 756% |
5| 784% | 900% |
6| 966% | 1029% |

This is what we've been observing. We're pretty sure its 90%, but more testing can't hurt.

Seeing as how my personal tests made me point to a 1.2 or so Multiplier, I like this one Biggrin

lolz. I'm still skeptical, but i was skeptical about the firing speeds too.

I was gonna do more work, but laptops are weird to do data on.

That and that we're each in the three oldest servers (Scania, Bera, Broa).

Let me be the bowmaster to post then!

To my knowledge, beserk was fixed to 45% yet the skill says otherwise so I'd see no indication to why this would be different. If I were to guess without doing tests, it'd be that its switched but still saying the old skills (like PKB, MB and other skills too).

This has nothing to do with what they're talking about, but okay...

Anyways, I feel that more testing is required, just because I want you guys to do more work.

Oh? what I was saying was that because the other skills got a change, so I'll assume that IA got a change as well, meaning you dont have to do the math yourself but can rather refer to what changes KMS got and just assume we got the same. Sorry if I didnt make myself clear.

The only change that you'd be able to notice in the skill window (If they got that thing updated at least), is the damage %'s being raised at lower levels. IA never had the damage reduction listed in the Skill Window.

today i was using Iron Arrow level 1, the description says it uses 14 mp, but it seems to be changed to 23 mp...

i don't know about higher levels of IA, but i could get the data if you wanted (when i level my xbow more)

MP cost changed from level 1~30. Max is still *alt tabs* 28 =)

Bomb does 50% impact. Meaning the average impact damage is 70%, not 56%. Still, this hardly makes a difference on Iron Arrow's now clearly superior damage. *Is disappointed*

Arrow Bomb used to be superior before the change, and by a wider margin than this too.

As far as 2nd job was pretty even.

IA > DS on mobs of 2+, so there's an advantage right there.
AB > IA on mobs of 5(barely 5) and 6.

Now all AB has is the stun =/

I though with the new tables IA outdamaged AB in every situation? the 90% tables

And all hunters can now pat themselves on the back knowing that Arrow Bomb has the lowest percent chance of stunning out of all skills used for stunning, seeing as how all the infighter skills which stun do so at a 100% rate. (This really pisses me off for some reason.)

I dunno, it still stunned pretty well in 2nd job. It does fail in 3rd job though, but Inferno replaces it anyway (if you maxed it). At least Inferno doesn't get beaten by the new Iron Arrow:
1 - 190%
2 - 380%
3 - 570%
4 - 760%
5 - 950%
6 - 1140%

Comes awfully close though. A second job skill outdamaging a 3rd job skill on neutral mobs of 3 or less? I'm kind of upset as well. Either buff Arrow Bomb and Inferno, or buff Inferno, or make more of our bows Fast 5, or something. Snipers already own Rangers in 3rd job, and now Xbowmen own Hunters in 2nd job. 4th job is debatable so I won't go into that; you can go on about how we're better at bossing but I have reasons to envy Marksmen as well.

Well, Strafe almost beats both of them if they hit 3, so it barely makes a difference.

They should buff Inferno, though. Burn effect, anyone? It wouldn't have to be anything fancy. Just 5-10% of the skill damage percent per second, or so.
(It'd only make a difference if it could actually kill monsters, unlike poison which brings them down to 1. Ew.)
