Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire announced
I wonder if we can change our clothes/hairstyle like in XY

My hope for Stephen is that he collects Mega Pokemon, and that you fight him repeatadly throughout the game like a rival, and in each battle he uses a different Mega Pokemon, before his eventual final battle where he settles for Mega Aggron or Mega Metagross.

That would explain why he has a Mega Charizard.

Didn't CoroCoro says he was learning about Mega Evolution? The Kanto starters+their mega stones were our first real megas(that Lucario doesn't count), could make sense to be his first while learning about megas.

As a nod to your trainer in X or Y being given a Kanto starter to run the same task? Yeah.

But if you're talking about the actual first mega evolution, it's heavily implied (if not directly stated) that a Lucario led to the first mega evolution.

I meant for trainers learning of it, not learning how the very first did it. So, the first one you said.

Well most of the new designs look pretty cool.
Already looking forward to playing the game with just this tiny bit of info.

Really hoping they kept trainer customization, but won't be too surprised if they don't.

It's important to remember that the reason some features disappear between games is because Gamefreak has two teams.

The pomegranate team who make remakes (including third versions such as Emerald or B/W2) and the mainteam who actually gets to make the new games. Even if it goes away this game, I suspect it'll be back for the one after.

I wouldn't try fitting a timeline to pokemon. The R/S/E games are supposed to take place at around the same time as Red and Blue, so this would be retconned to the place where mega evolution is discovered.

I don't think the remakes can really be considered as canon, persay. That would mean such things as Gold and Crystal Ethan and Lyla going back in time and becoming the ones who are responsible for Giovanni not answering Rocket's call are perfectly sound ( All the while being the ones thwarting them at the Radio Tower at the same time, no less.)

It's easier to consider remakes filler content than retcons, imo.

Primal Wailord. Smaller, looks more like a killer whale. big teeth, much faster.

Look deep inside and tell me that doesn't sound fucking awesome.

I really hope that if they make a Mega Flygon they don't pineapple it up.

Someone on the Serebii forums had the amazing idea of a Mega Seviper, Poison/Steel type with a scythe for a tail.

That so needs to happen, god. It would be the ultimate Fairy Killer.

Only as long as Zangoose gets an equally awesome Mega evo.

I really like Flygon too. All it lacks are the stats, but a Mega evolution doing just that is be a bit boring...

I'm not sure what changes and stuff they can give it to make it better or at least have some bigger niche that Garchomp doesn't have already. Being a dragon/ground with levitate is pretty good - resistant to stealth rock/immune to grounded stage hazards/thunderwave, STAB earthquake, resistances, and changing away the typing or ability can make it either unpredictable or nothing that appealing to worry about. Sand rush might help him, but would it be worth it lose Levitate?

Maybe it's just me, but from the looks on what GameFreak is doing ever since X/Y... It's like they're just gearing and distributing each Pokemon towards singles and double/triple/multi battles.

Might as well make Zangoose look like Sabretooth...?

Is Primal Relicanth too much to hope for?

I think the trainer designs pretty much solidify there will be no Emerald remake. Green clothes/accessories were added in Emerald, and yet they're in ORAS.

...That would literally just be a rock LOL

I feel like clothing MIGHT be in, but not hairstyles and maybe hats, because they seem to want to keep the trainers the same as the original.

I didn't know that. I was more alluding to the fact that it makes less sense thematically given how Kalos is all about beauty, aesthetics, and based off one of the big fashion countries of the world. But as I said, hoping but not holding my breath.
