The existing lie detectors can be used very easily just to grief players. That's why they haven't put them back.

I'm not talking about the lie detector items, I'm talking about an automatic lie detector which only triggers on people who attack monsters.
Normal lie detectors work too, you just need a cap on how many you can use on a player, which is also easy to implement.

Then what if hackers forge an autobot system from the mountains of Valhalla to even get around that, then it only be the legit players inconvenienced by it.

I was more going for the angle of interactivity, if your character is performing actions in-game without you directly making it happen, then (as far as I'm aware at least) it would be considered botting. It doesn't mean you have to be paying attention or even looking at the game at all, but when something else is playing the game for you it becomes botting. And your finger can't really be considered a weight, can it? Unless you somehow passed out while holding the attack key down in which case I suppose it would be botting.

That would be considered botting then, since the weight would be the thing controlling your character as opposed to you doing it... not that it matters at all anyway
I read Frankenstein a couple of years ago as part of a Gothic Literature course, very good book. Never read Dracula though xD

no offense question but why are you qqing are you that much of a sook ? them "botting" doesnt affect u in anyway also i dont believe putting a weight on a key is botting / hacking its no difference to someone holding down a key with their finger and watching a movie

This is completely false, in fact botters(and exploiters as well) are the factor that influences MapleStory gameplay the most. Mainly because they pump(and keep doing it) insane amounts of meso to the game causing everything to inflate and have retardedly high prices.

This game without botters would be approached in a completely different way.

Just about everyone I know that used to play MS either shares Tidus' mentality (worse, actually) or just logs on to walk around, chat, kill a monster or two and log off. I'm the latter, personally. I know plenty of people who hack the game to hell and back these days that used to be of a diehard "legit or quit" mentality. The "this game is dead, who cares" way of thinking has spread like a wildfire.

I had to read Dracula for my Vampire lit class and honestly thought it was a snore fest. Frankenstein is much more interesting and doesn't have the massive pacing problems Dracula does.

i really liked it and didn't find any problem with the pacing, the cards were a bit annoying at first due to how much useless info they held that i didn't understand (cooking!) but it got really well, i really hated the ending due to my bad luck

i got just to the point where they're chasing after him through the river, but then i had to leave for the beach and forgot my book, 3 days later i come back, open the book, and it's literally "they catch up, this guy gets stabbed, they open the coffin and kill him the end" and all the hype i built over the weekend ended in a snap, which wouldn't have bothered me if i had finished before leaving.

i had the same problem with book4 of dune.

Why can't Nexon just implement a lie detector hitting those that attack at certain maps, say, every 10 minutes? Even some private servers I know have done that and they don't even edit the WZ files so it doesn't even need a patch. I feel like it'd hinder at least the hardcore botters that don't even look at their game.

Because they're completely and utterly useless. They don't work, they never have. Almost all bots can answer them. I have never had a single Lie Detector work in all my years of both KMS and JMS. JMS even gives you 3 Lie Detectors daily for free, and they don't do jack. They're a complete waste of time.
