How come? Internet issues again?

Nope, my computer keeps crashing every so often.
I think it has something to do with the gpu, my screen goes completely black and I still can hear everything going on but stays black.

Just had a game and I played better than my last couples games but not good enough... on top of that there was an afker in my team against a 5 stack.
At least I managed to farm decently well with my no bfury PA and fights were going our way for the most part because of it.

I started playing after a short hiatus, I'm in the SP community and I woul like to play with you guys, SteamID is Jon.

That feeling when playing Death Prophet mid did jack squat for my team. 6th game loss in a row, I guess I'm in a rut. Thank goodness I wasn't playing ranked games or I'd be more sad.

It just feels... goood

You know those games where you have a great start, 10+ kills ahead of the enemy, they somehow outcarry you in the end, your team keeps attacking other heroes than just one at a time, and you not just lose horribly but get Mega Creeped? Yeah I had that kind of game last night.

I don't feel that bad though, I got a hero I don't like that much and our draft was pretty meh compared to theirs. They got the best and easier supports to play, I would've played either Lion or Shadow Shaman but ended up with Skywrath Mage.

I'm trying to find one where pathing screws someone over and even though he tries to dodge he catches it.

Got sent to mid as Silencer and went against Sniper. Silencer can semi-counter Sniper with Last Word spam. I kicked Sniper out the lane quite a few times that he ended up getting a Morbid Mask so he can stay in lane. Also forgot how good Silencer's pure damage is. +100 pure damage is no joke in fights, especially with Power Treads.

It's not my laptop, it's a desktop.
I ditched my laptop a whiiiile ago, yet this new computer isn't making any better. Anyhow it wasn't it fault it's my internet I'm replying this on my phone since it's only where I have internet for now.

I did win with the two heroes I feel more comfortable with and the rest I know how to play but need help to make 'em work :/
Also, [MENTION=9742]Chew[/MENTION]; we messed up hard going for 2 hearts that Centaur game. I didn't notice until now that it was a very bad item build because there was a Life Stealer in the other team ._.
Mek, Shiva's Guard or even a Halberd would've been better for the armor... BKB was a must that game too but oh well.

[MENTION=5555]Zelkova[/MENTION]; I watched the game you were playing before I joined you and I noticed a few minor things. If you are interested I'd like it if we went through your settings before actually playing, that way I can help with courier mechanics, shop related stuff and some ui stuff in general. I think that will help tackle the most basic questions and problems you might be having atm. You're already a good player, experimenting with heroes and item builds will be much much easier once you are comfortable with those minor things.

Just let me know, it should take 5 mins or less and next time you play a game I'd like to coach you, that way I can focus on you, and Shikage if he's also there. It should be easier compared to playing and trying to watch what you guys are doing at the same time.

Wasn't fun. I was Abaddon. I had a mek but sold it because we literally didn't survive long enough to even make use of it. They also destroyed my shield in a single hit so I couldn't help at all.

I think one of the huge major changes to this game from League is how I move my character. In league you can right click, hold down the button, and just drag anywhere you want to move. In Dota2 if you rightclick and hold it down your character only goes to the location where you first right clicked. This causes me to die 9 times out of 10. (With the 1/10 being when some peach with slow on their aa chases me down).

Little things like F2 + W to send the courier to the secret shop helps a ton. I think I just need to learn heroes now.

She does not get bonus damage when attacking frozen stuff, you might be confusing the damage over time applied by her frostbite with doing bonus damage on auto attacks.
The units are frozen for 1.5/2/2.5/3 seconds (10 seconds for creeps) and it will always deal 70 damage at the intervals of 0 seconds, 1 second, 2 seconds and 3 seconds. Meaning 140 damage over two times at level 1 and 280 damage over 4 times at level 4, for example. Since it's dealt at intervals this might've been the source of confusing/misunderstanding.
But yeah learning heroes will definitely be the tallest order.

I actually would have imagined that the hardest thing to get used to would be the attack and turn animations that dota has. Different heroes turn as different speeds and attack at different points (Some heroes have an attack point of 0 meaning their attack happens the instant they start it while other have an attack point of 0.4 meaning that after 0.4 seconds their attacks actually launch after it has begun, can be altered by attack speed)
The turn speed also means that kiting with a ranged hero is a lot more tricky in dota since your hero has to spend time to turn around to attack.
