Oh, wrong thread, MysteryMask posted in the big Kishin discussion thread but the post was since removed apparently. She said it was receiving a 'slight nerf' though. We'll find out tomorrow anyway lol

Yeah, "slight" nerf huehue more like copy pasta skill change from tms. Though there was a hilarious amount of rage on the forums until waltzing stepped in.

There's only one thing that anyone cares about and that's the spawn increase. If they remove that then nobody will ever make a Kanna again. Sure, kanna gets 2 binds, but there are probably fewer than 20 people who boss with a Kanna.
Yes, AFK kishin service can be seen as a problem. However, if they removed that possibility while keeping the spawn rate increase then everyone will win.

If GMS is getting TMS kishin nerf then the skill will still increase the max mob spawn and even if it doesnt cause monsters to instantly respawn anymore its still a good skill.
Anyways that kishin was getting nerfed sooner or later was obvious, how broken is this skill is simply ridiculous and its by far the biggest experience imbalance source(and no, its not because it can be spammed without triggering the buff limit).

I fail to see how the skill is "broken". It's no more broken than Holy Symbol.

Reduces the respawn time on monsters from arround 6-7 seconds to less than 0.5 seconds(instant if there is zero server lag), increases the max amount on mobs which on some maps can go near double the regular one.
On top of that, the respawn effect( but not the mob increase) persists until next server check even if the Kanna is gone out of the map or logged off , which can be used to glitch maps easily without needing to be present.
Its definitely broken and HS is a joke compared to Kishin.

I was under the impression that fast respawn time was an internal change, and had nothing to do with Kishin?
I still have two Kanna's for bind mules; they're hardly ever used for kishin. I don't train but I still think it'd be shitty of nexon to nerf the spawn rate.

This is a common misconception.
The faster than normal(instant) respawn is caused because of Kishin. On a map that hasnt been affected with Kishin, the respawn is the regular one(6-7 secs as i said before) but if on said map you cast kishin then the respawn will become instant until the next server check(hence why there are complaints about the respawn speed becoming low after a server check).

There was a certain server check that made this "internal change" like Bryan pointed out. The difference of day 1 spawning of kanna's release and after that update made the spawning change entirely. Nobody's got time to stick a kanna in every map, so you can't say that everywhere has been glitched. The same SC that also made this change created the issue with scrolls in storage expiring too fast after taking it out. It used to expire after a server minute ticks (yes, I've abused this so many times before already) and no longer relies on that.
More to the point, Kanna is supposed to "fix" spawning, have you seriously did evolution lab runs? You know how slow they are after SCs? Even with 150% spawn population, there is next to no difference whatsoever from just 30%. I could fix this spawning and even make it better with Kishin, but there are no other alternatives.

Yes I have as I myself use a Kanna to increase the respawn rate on the maps on which me or some buddies grind or farm, which includes evo world as well.
Before RED, Kanna Kishin Shoukan didnt affect respawn rate at all, it simply increased the amount of max mobs that would spawn on a certain map. When RED patch came, Kishin Shoukan started to affect respawn rate as well. There is no such thing as a server check which changed the respawn rate intervals, RED patch simply lowered the respawn rate from over 10 seconds to arround 6 seconds.
Population core doesnt increase respawn rate either.
Also on evo world(like in most places), monsters respawning every 6 seconds or so is the normal speed.

Agreed and true, this also changed expired scrolls in storage as well as faster spawning alone without a kishin.

as long as you're mobing, and significantly strong enough to kill quickly, kishin is much more exp/hr than hs.

Dojo respawn speed is different than regular one(hence why i said most places, as there are exceptions) which i believe it was changed on Cygnus patch, same goes for other places with fixed spawn times such as DiPQ. None of those places with fixed respawn delays are affected by Kishin.

The slower evo respawn after server checks is unrelated to kannas.

Bringing a Kanna in and using Kishin does fix it completely though (at least until you time out and leave).
I was planning on grinding to 220 in a month or so and it sucks that they keep screwing around with training methods :| though really I'd like them to make Warrior Grounds viable again to be honest..

Wasn't disagreeing with that as evidenced by not mentioning it at all. Just saying that isn't the cause and is difficult to prove in the first place.
