The adventure thus far has been a blast

Seeing all of you gush about this game convinced me to buy it too and for how short it is the game's atmosphere and design has to be among the best I've seen in years (It reminds me of Odin Sphere to be honest), and the throwback to Grandia's battle system definitely helps. My only real problem is that the rhyming leaves something to be desired, and considering it does everything else so beautifully that's a very minor complaint.
Mentioning Grandia's battle s ystem is really convincing me to check it out. Freakin loved that game and it's dialogue. Working designs was the best company I've ever come across with dialogue. Even their guides were hilarious.

Same here! Grandia's battle system was among the best for JRPGs of its time and that was what caught my attention too beyond the superb graphics and music.

I think I'll continue playing more tomorrow so I don't finish it too quickly.

Honestly I'm looking forward to NG+. Outside of Bravely Default's retarded power spike post-chapter 4 I haven't had a challenge with a turn-based RPG in a long time.

So far chapter 10, 15 hours in. I should probably be farther but I can't stop exploring. The art is so beautiful Frown Getting a lot out of the game for how short it's suppose to be.

Has anyone found a use for Robert yet or is still the joke of the party

Finished my 1st run on Hard after 17 hours. Literally went out of my way to search every corner for loot and fight every single monster along the way. Everyone was around level 47 after the final boss. The only time I game over'd was at the Chapter 9 final boss, literally wasn't expecting the pineappleing thing to crit like a truck.

That aside,

The one HUGE glaring problem I'm seeing with NG+ is you get your party members at the same level you left them at when starting a NG+. I'm up to chapter 6 and I'm getting my party members in their 40s when Aurora and the others are in their 60s / 70s.

They seem to level pretty quickly though.
Just hit chapter 6 in NG+ on hard too. It's been really easy so far. :<

The writer for Child of Light, Jeffrey Yohalem, did an AMA on reddit yesterday. This might be just the beginning for Lemuria... Smile

Awesome, the ending and the confessions definitely hinted at Lemuria being a focal point for many different stories, with Aurora's being just one small part of it.

It would be pretty great to see future games also set in Lemuria, but done in different styles to highlight different time periods, different situations and different people, with the one main theme that connects them all being the land of Lemuria itself.

It'll be only the second retail vita game I buy.

Finally got around to playing the game; it's great so far!

I just have one small problem: I pre-ordered the game from the site (PS4 version), and yet I don't have access to the free Golem DLC that was supposed to come with the pre-order. Anyone know what that's all about?

The DLC should automatically be added, and the Golem stuff is an event that happens in-game, so maybe you haven't gotten to that part yet?

I just got to Chapter 5, and from what I've heard, the Golem's head talks to you the second you enter the Tree of Thorns area, starting his quest--but I'm already passed that part. No Golem anything. Sad

He doesn't automatically talk to you, he's lying on the ground and you have to talk to him.

Just in case, I watched a video on where the head is, back-tracked in my game to the spot and he isn't there. For what it's worth, I also don't have the Oculi or "Erin's Stone" you're supposed to get either, although I don't know when they're given to you.

Bah, it is what it is. I'm already more than halfway through the game, so I've just kinda moved on.
