Super Smash Bros. Wii U and 3DS Discussion

I just want Mr. G-Dubs back.

You know considering that Chrom and Lucina are like Marth (Lucina is practically a clone) ,Id hope to see Chrom using a Lance at least once, but Ive thought about it and id rather have a Villian from the franchise instead.

If they did Chrom or Lucina I'd rather see them as alt skins of Marth (like the male and female wii fit trainer) rather than their own independent character. As you've pointed out, they have seemingly similar looks (especially Lucina) and a similar moveset would be believable.

Hey, that's a good point actually. We have no new villains in this game do we? all the newcomers so far are good guys, unless you include Villager because he's creepy..

DDD isn't even really a bad guy in the Kirby universe anymore. The Wii Game he was an ally, and in the 3DS game he's practically the Princess Peach, at least from the small amount I've played of it (I need to get back to that, not sure why I stopped playing it).

I think Kirby's Dream Land 1 was the only game in the series in which Dedede was the main antagonist. Every other game in which he is a boss, there's some other force behind his actions.

He's more of a rival to Kirby at this point, one that reflects Kirby himself. A chaotic, greedy and gluttonous rival, as compared to Meta Knight's noble, "everything Kirby isn't" anti-hero rival style.

I was planning on doing a Smash Bros tournament before Nintendo WFC is closed down for good on May 20th. Joe and I agreed that it should probably be Project M. You don't particularly need a Wii to participate, you could use Dolphin since it works with WFC.

Anyone willing to join? What dates would be good for you if so? Would you prefer Project M or vanilla Brawl? etc.

would like to join, but i have to not be lazy and make the vanilla 3.02 iso. I only have 3.01 iso and working on making a custom build of 3.02(i dont mind if its vbrawl either)

I'd definitely join. I prefer project m on dolphin, but I can play vanilla wii as well.

Total frames (brackets indicate amount of frames right before landing animation):
Brawl = 53 (50)
Smash 4 = 45 (43)
Project M = 39 (37)
Melee = 39 (37)

Pic of the day. Here's a very, very new fighter in the upcoming Smash games, Greninja. Greninja's sophisticated moves are extremely fun to use once you get used to how it controls!

Hmm. This probably isn't so bad as it might suggest because the hitstun in this game is going to be so so so much higher than all of those games that a 7 frame disadvantage will be compensated for. Up throw up air can still very easily be a thing.

The real thing that we need to find out is if shields are as OP of an option as they were in brawl which won't happen until the game comes out. I really hope not since it seems to be a toss up between which mechanics are brought from brawl and which are from melee. We do seem to have the ability to sweetspot ledges, which is a great choice now that we have those new ledge mechanics as well.
