What will be unavailable:

• All MapleStory game servers.
  

Changes and Updates:

• Spiegelette will have an option to change waiting rooms in the Cross World Party Quest lobby.
  
• An option to skip the cutscene will be added for the quest "The Pursuit."

2 hours is pretty short, I feel like this could be the real reason.
I checked the shady sites and didn't see anything game-breaking released to the public, so yeah.

it calls itself "scheduled", i don't follow these anymore so god only knows.

Just added to the Changes and Updates section, so that's why it's a USC.

Yea I've seen people die and revive in yut reward map, just like when people exploited the RED coins.

[Complete] The maintenance is complete as of 1:50 AM Pacific (4:50 AM Eastern). Cash items in your inventories have had their durations extended to cover the amount of time the game was unavailable.

So I'm guessing they just went through and flagged every account that was in possession of large quanitities of Spring Bunny Coins... fantastic work, Nexon, keep it up.

Sounds reasonable. 2 hours is hardly enough time to find out how they got all the coins. Once they do get into the logs they'll release those who did it in Evo (and possibly nerf the box drop rate or put a cap on coins per day). Only question is how long that'll take.

I was sleeping the whole time and never saw it til I checked my email this morning. Love when that happenes. Good for Nexon for taking action about something bad

Why on earth would they lower the drop rate of the boxes or put a limit on the amount of coins? If they did that it would likely be completely impossible to get the Hard Hitter damage skin with the incredibly meager amount of coins people can earn. (seriously, 1000 pineappleing coins when these 10 minute plus events give just 1 or 2 coins each?) and some of the other events like the achievements or the attendance give 5 coins ONE time. wow, so generous.

The only way to get that item is through Evolving World grinding. If they removed that as a way of getting coins, I will be extremely pissed, especially since I've been pacing myself to get 100 coins a day so that the grind and the button mashing doesn't destroy my soul. I'm at 600 coins now, and the only other option available is getting 10-20 coins per day from Yut (since there is never enough people doing the other events).

I was planning on getting the damage skin tomorrow (by pushing myself and getting 200 coins a day). Guess that has been thrown out of the window. The event will probably be over by the time the hellban is lifted.
EDIT: Never mind, I wasn't hellbanned, but I seriously expected that I would be, given how lucky I usually am.

I had 499 coins, no suspension here.

How many coins did people have that were hell banned? If it varies too much, how many coins have hell banned people spent? I feel like their threshold would be "if >= x coins then hellban"

I had 311 coins in my inventory and I was hellbanned.
I've used 3200 coins so far to buy boss entry tickets (CVel & HMag).
