Just finished my 16th hour of data collection / trying to figure out why the equipment wasn't working / etc for the chaotic pendulum lab. It's normally ~2 hours for data collection but me and my partner had to go and choose a lab that wasn't even setup yet and the TAs have never done it so we literally started from scratch. Got a week extra to finish/hand in our report but I sure as hell hope I get the extra credit for setting up a new lab

Phase space, do tons of trials and plot angle vs velocity color coded to which magnet it ends up at. Able to make predictions with this. Our predictions from the centers of attractor paths were 100% accurate, boundary trials were 50% just like it should be since boundaries become fractal in nature and make it impossible to predict how the system will end up

Sometimes I feel like my girlfriend doesn't want me to hang out with my friends, even when we (my girlfriend and I) aren't doing anything together.

I go on a school trip and come back to a lot of work to do and we made plans to get dinner on saturday night. But since I told her I was going to hang out a bit with my friends tonight (now last night), she became distant. She snap chatted me telling me she wishes people saw her as important and I tell her shes important to me, she truly is in many ways important to me, and she just says that "you dont realize it do you?". I ask her what, and she just says I have been gone for too long, and I ask her whats wrong and she just says its too much to do over snap chat, so I call her, and now shes not answering. It really frustrates me, because I try to make as much time as I am able to to see her and be with her every week but its hard, and she knows I have a lot that I have to deal with. It also frustrates me that she tells me she feels unloved when I do all these little things for her, and it just feels like she wants more than I am able to give, and she would rather bottle it up than talk to me about it, which I have told her to talk to me if things like this comes up, that it will help us both grow if we were to talk to one another about issues we have.

In the end, I think she is going to breakup with me, and it hurts me because I really do love her, and I feel like the reasons for the breakup are trivial and something that could be worked out...

Then it turns out you have time to hang with your friends, two days before you have time for her? That makes her feel like she's not your #1 priority. I know I would not be happy if my boyfriend did that.

Its a mix of both. When I say I have lots of work, I mean literally there is a lot of work for me to do, and my job required me not to leave campus (it was an on call position, for 2 nights), but tonight I only at the last minute had free time and thought that she would be working (she usually works late on Thursdays). Saturday was decided upon because it worked best for us all. Shes going out with her friends on Friday, and now so am I, Sunday I have work obligations, and even Saturday during the day, I have more work obligations.

She started texting me and it boils down to her feeling like I dont care, and that I dont open up to her, and that she doesnt know how I really feel, which made her feel unimportant. Which is hard for me, because Im a pretty blunt about things. But we are going to work through things. I honestly feel things will work out better after school ends, because she is someone who needs to spend a lot of time with.

Went to class yesterday even though it wasn't mandatory, and ended up getting all of my homework done for the weekend, minus some reading.

Today will be consisting of redesigning/coding my portfolio site, as well as possibly designing business cards.

Oh, and needle felting. It's a neat hobby. I wish there were more stores around here that sold wool roving, though.

The last email even said the program is harder to get into than grad school. There were over 30x more qualified applicants than spots.

It is apparently unprofessional to have dinner (burgers brought to a room) with friends during a time that you have previously requested and was approved to have off. I will note that there was a staff meeting during this time, but I had again previously been approved to have this time off due to the stresses of international travel.

So done with this job, its not even funny.

9 weeks of basic military training that everyone has to go through, before they are sent to their specific vocations / camps / whatever for the rest of the 1 year 10 months ~ 2 years.

Probably whip them into shape I suppose, considering that we aren't allowed to gain weight when we book out(go home) during the weekends, if not we'll have to stay in camp the next weekend.
