I'll give it two more chapters, if he accomplishes the goal, that's development right there, but I feel this is too intentionally dissapointing

I have a feeling sugar is going to release her powers on her own after hearing the tontatta say that stuff about how everyone is miserable because of her, and then he'll fight and be known as a savior after being instantly remembered as a murderer.

I get the interpretation that's shes actually more malevolent than even the sticky fruit guy, I feel like usopp will manage to distract him enough to get a chance to knock her out like perona style. Then the whole dock will beat the sh`it out of him themselves.

Yeah notice the first panel after the tontatta are going on about how ussopp will save everyone forced to work as toys and the people who forgot they lost loved ones etc she has that ... bubble and this almost sad regretful look on her face.

Having sugar betray dofla just like the others under his command would guarantee collapse of his empire so it's not unlikely to think she would do that since we've already had others go against dofla.

The comparison I'm seeing is the kingdom will overthrow the exposed king Donflamingo, while with crocodile it was the strawhats saving the kingdom. I was pretty sad that franky/usopp got their ass kicked so hard while they didn't even get scratched.

Doflamingos most important member who hasn't lost conciousness somehow ever since he took over dressrosa is knocked out by a shitty jump scare.

At least the kyros stuff wasn't terrible, if predictable based on what we already knew.

I don't see franky losing to the combined forces 2 of doflamingos officers+doflamingo mooks+ the marines with a vice admiral as a problem when he is at a disadvantage (can't get help,retreat isn't an option and doesn't have his super franky cyborg armour thing).
If it was zoro or luffy, it'd be a biot crap as I expect they would both have steamrolled all 3 of them with little effort, but as it is, it's fine.

This chapter was amazing- Usopp winning by losing, Franky being beaten by a combined force of Marines AND Don Flamingo's crew, Kyros back story completed? So much information covered in so little time. I'm amazed how Oda can keep doing this.

That last page makes me admire Oda's witty way to get to the absolutely necessary goal of knocking Sugar out, but it definitely doesn't do one bit in favor of Ussop's image. Pineapple all character progression he is actually back to square -1.
