Endangered Monsters
Nice info Isaac.
I would just like to say that Dark stumps aren't that uncommon, I found like heaps spawning with Axe Stumps in East Rocky mountain 3 or 4.

Being able to stock up and trade would be nice. Dx Sucks when no one's on and you get a 6th+ card from something.

I dont think thats a good idea. That would giv Maplers another way of making mesos, and i hate it that people dont have to go thru hard work (hunting for cards in this case) to accomplish their goal. It'll be like leeching (YES, I DO LEECH. I've stopped, anyway =p)

they arent uncommon now, but in KMS, right now they are. because of the whole "Earthquake" thing that happened. all the monsters in maps pretty much got rearanged.

btw, Homonscullos and D. Roy arent going to be very hard. spawning once every 30 minutes gives just enough time to kill all channels of Homonscullos and D. Roy, and they arent hunted very often, seeing as Keeny's quest is crap.

Iron Pigs are a familiar sight on the way to Mushmom. But, this is no longer the case; the once famous Pig Park has been completely replaced with Horned and Blue mushrooms. Thus, the only Iron Pig that I know of in KMS is the one that periodically spawns at Pig Beach. Needless to say, for any prospective Card hunters this is a nightmare. It puts Iron pigs on the order of boss rarity. Get their cards first! (EDIT: Iron Pigs are mixed with Iron Boars at Burnt Land 3 and 4, the spawn's not great but it's bearable. I would still recommend getting these before the map change.)

There goes my cheap, fast steel making >.>
Now, on another note, when were the old monster stories written and where were they found, like the one about Copper Drakes being too weak and banished from the dungeon? I've seen 'em on Hidden-Street, but never knew where the stories came from.

Glad to see you've warned us in time- I've gotta go plow through 999 Green Mushes still, and have still been procrastinating from that!

those were from old GMS website I believe. They've been gone for a really long time now and even when they were written it wasn't something to consider "canon" so it can easily be overridden.

I'm mourning the loss of fast, easy source of steel as well. But it's still here for us, so mind as well make due while we can xD

As for the 999 Green Mushies quest, I completed that while doing my BMM hunts. Unless they changed that map too...

I clearly remember Wizet's old "monster library" because that's where the misspelling of "Barlog" came from xD My friends also were in debate about why the Red Drakes were "banished from the dungeon for being too weak" and not the regular Drakes.

I've never seen a Blue Mushmom in my life. Ever.
I envy you so, so much.

And hm, if I recall the story correctly, Red Drakes were Copper Drakes who gradually evolved, right? Well, that certainly explains how they got there, but as for why they never returned to the dungeon, who knows XD? They might have just decided they were cozy in the Perion highlands.

I sure wish I could seen that old Wizet library- when I joined way back in late January '06, the Game Library was like it is now- literally just about NOTHING inside; oh, aside from the recent updated NPC guide, of course. Sure gives me that nostalgic feel looking back at those old game library stuff; but I learned Hidden-street fast thanks to my friends who introduced the game being kinda experienced.

The Wizet Monster Library is still available in MSEA website, though it only counts up to lvl 100 and doesn't have any monsters since Zakum I think lol.

I am (or will be), too. I wonder how much Steel will inflate once this happens. =/

Just to update, as for Fire Drake it is not endangered at all.
JMS just got monsters revamp in the last patch and Fire Drake new
home is at Drake's Meal Table.
In the map, only two monsters spawn there. Fire Drake and Wild Cargo.
And the spawn rates is amazing, even faster than the original Fire Drake's map.
I can see that this place is going to be a new steelies hunting spot.
Add some pictures below.

 Spoiler

Fire Drake also spawn with Drake in the Tunnel of Lost Light 2 map.

Think the maps will be changing in the coming patch? x.x
Quote:So we have the Family System, More Master Monsters, and the Monster Book, but that's not all. We've revamped quite a few processes within the game, everything from quest progression, item inventory, maps, bugs, monster drops, placements, the tutortial, new mini-dungeons, nearly every part of the game is being adjusted or prepared for further content to come.

As for Drake maps... well, see for yourself:

Copper drake map.

stupid boars :/

As for Perion street corner, the dark stumps were turned into regular stumps.

What is the EXP up drop in that picture?

BombsAway Wrote:What is the EXP up drop in that picture?

Old old old event where exp cards dropped, and depending on the arrows (1, 2, or 3)
you would get either (30, 200, or 500) exp

I'm running under the assumption that the monster cards found now won't carry over, as there doesn't seem to be any method implemented in the game to distinguish one card from another. Or is there?

So did they nerf the Iron Pigs and change around a lot of maps and monster spawns?

Yep. Iron Pigs are gone from Mushmom's area.
