Animal Crossing New Leaf megathread: The economy of Bells, Fruit and Turnips.
Lozmaster Wrote:I had wondered if the urn was a special item. I've still been playing it casually, but it's kinda at a point now where I've done/seen everything. Just waiting for the right months last few fish/bugs I'm missing to roll around and get the gold rod/net.

How long did it take you to get all of the shopes/complete your house? I feel like it's been taking me too long, but I just can't seem to earn enough profit =\

Turnips are the only way to really make the big bells. If you get a full cupboard of them(~1.8million bells) on a really good week you can get upwards of 10million back. Of course, fruit trees with non-native fruit are helpful to get started too. Going to the island and beetle hunting in the evening also works pretty well.

As for upgrading shops, just keep buying things. The only real roadblock is the last upgrade where you have to rely on a random event to occur 4 times before you can, which took me forever to occur.

Though I will say, if you're playing animal crossing for hours a day, you probably are going to get burnt out on it. There isn't really anything major you can do to the process up (and that's by design).

I figured turnips were an important, but I never wake up early enough to catch the turnip seller =\ my entire town is almost completely non-native fruit (to the point where I almost forgot my native fruit was cherries). Nah, I'm not playing hours everyday, just one hour or so max, but I do spend a lot of that time decorating...

I know this game has been out for several months now, but I just bought the game recently. Though, I wonder if you guys are still interested in playing this? I like the long replay and casual aspects of the game, from like the previous ones. It might not make a lot of sense being a simulation game... but whatever :d. Feel free to add me, but let me know first ^^.
My AC:NL info:
Town name: Tantalus
Native fruit: Peaches
FC: 1736 - 1227 - 3234

Yeah, peaches seem to be the most common starting fruit. I haven't tried it yet, but do you have a chance of getting a different fruit when you mail a fruit native or not, coconuts (?) to your villagers?

I just got back into the game. I had ragequit after losing Zucker due to not playing for a few days last year, but now I restarted my town and have him back thanks to my wife.

I think there's a low chance of getting a fruit not native to your town by mailing them fruit you already have, but I don't know for sure exactly. I want to say I've done it before but I can't remember anymore.
