200K! may not seem much of an achievement but considering i came back from getting hacked i'm proud of myself lol

Yeah, been on a very long hiatus. Graduated college and came back to maple around October 2013. Fell way behind in gear but trying to make a comeback.

That's the same as 55% boss damage, which I would have an abundance of anyway if I was using decent weapons :| and I hear DBs are overpowered all the time, which after switching to both Shadower and NL has turned out to be completely untrue, they're the least powerful thief by a huge amount. The only thing DBs have going for them is hits/second, and even then Phantom destroys DB in that category. Yay for being the underdog I guess

The only time I'd think DBs were remotely good was post-Hypers pre-Unleashed when Asura was just a completely unfair advantage due to its 10m cap and hurricane-like speed. But AB came around that time so that was quickly usurped.... meh idk

I feel like I can argue this forever, but...

More weapon potential made it so that IF YOU SHELL OUT RESOURCES it will be more powerful, while OP classes partially come from the fact that even unfunded they are quite strong.

The weap att thing is true, but is largely offset by their low dmg % and multiplier, even back in the day when they were the only secondary weapon user post-BB for quite a long time (memory may fail me but the next class with a secondary weapon was DS/merc and we all know how OP they were even without them, followed by the tempest crew then all classes getting them.)

That does remind me, though, that DBs were OP pre-BB because thorns and FC were revolutionary party and self buffs respectively (why SE when DBs could contribute so much and thorns was in general only marginally worse) and they had high dmg % for the time. BB buffed them a bit but everyone else was buffed so much, crit was reworked, and so they really couldn't keep up until hypers.

With free 30% boss 10% ignore with a sweetwater katara.

DBs are still rather good with high amounts of boss damage compared to other classes since they get no %damage buffs at all (though, neither do Night Lords...), and Final Cut is a huge 1.6x damage multiplier, whereas Xenon/Phantom/Shadower all have high amounts of %damage, so any additional on top is less effective for them. Though Dark Knight's Berserk (idk what it's called now, if they changed it) is a 1.6x multiplier too iirc and they get Cross Surge... >_>

I think it's just a case of them being a little left behind after all the revamps for every other class. They're not really BAD, but they're probably the worst 'good' class. Hilariously inefficient to fund, but still have good potential if you are hitting cap/come close to hitting cap. Unless you're comparing dojo, in which case all melee classes are fucked.

Milestone, first time my shad has seen 2m range. Using a dagger from 2012, lots of epic and unique gear I need to get to legendary but I refuse to spend real $ on this game. I'm actually a bit surprised at how far I've come despite having spent only 6 months re-gearing this char.
