Oh man, Viridi looks amazing in the background.

Additional Comment: Sakurai Wrote:Lucario joined the battle for the first time in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, which was released six years ago. The production staff of Brawl worked really hard to expand the character roster--without their efforts, Lucario probably never would have joined the battle.

I'm beginning to wonder how limited the roster actually is.
I would have thought he would have been cut for sure. Or, well replaced for some newer pokemon.

Oh man lucario was already really REALLY strong with maxed aura. I wonder how much stronger they made him...

MasPan Wrote:"We've increased the influence of Aura this time, so a damaged Lucario is truly a force to be reckoned with." Heavily damaged lucario was already "a forced to be reckoned with". That can easily mean any amount of damage from low damage to high, but there's no reason to buff the higher end more.

Lozmaster Wrote:I presume they buffed his power at lower aura and left his maximum about the same. That would make sense. His effectiveness below 100% was kind of lackluster and at some percentages it kind of looked like how strong lucario is supposed to be normally. With how the knockback, hitstun, and combo systems work in this game, lucario would probably need the buff to be able to compete especially if the new systems and new characters/character changes result in him dying earlier. I could see lucario being the sort of character where if you get him to high percentage and don't finish the stock, he's going to bring you to kill % if not kill you.

Looks bigger than brawl at both stages. Plus it doesn't seem to travel in that weird arc and only in a straight line now.

The fact that it speeds up is the one thing I was really hoping they'd put in, and Nintendo has delivered. Hopefully Lucario is much more viable now.

Wow now that's interesting. Only character in the game whose recovery improves as he takes damage/the longer he lives.

oh dear, now what is spacial rend going to do? can't be just a simple downward slash.
