I haven't called him guilty at all. I'm not ACCUSING him of anything.
Razmos Wrote:I'm always going to wonder about how he did it
Razmos Wrote:but I personally still think

If anything i'm rather indifferent about it since i'll likely never know one way or the other. I'm not gonna go around screaming "he's a great big phony!", but i'm not gonna get on the hype train with everyone else either.

Shame people have to discredit others who can do things, that they themselves can't.

Wink
I wondered how long it would be before someone basically said "U only a h8r cuz u jelly"
Yes, you clearly aren't trying to bait anyone with that comment, nosiree.

Didn't say you did, but you certainly seem to think he is breaking the rules somehow.
If you search in earlier pages of the thread, you will find explanations on how he is doing it.
Stereo even posted a screenshot with some amazing exp.

I believe that is how most of the internet works.

I know the mechanics on how he is doing it, my doubt rests in the sheer amount of hours required and whether it would be possible for someone to do them alone for so many days on end.
I find it ridiculous that for whatever reason, being skeptical is frowned upon all of a sudden, in this game which frequently has problems with hackers and exploiters.

Okay, you are pretty much are in the mind set that its not an accomplishment and that is fine, you don't have to be 'on the hype train', or have to really say anything much on it. You think its not important, and you consider someone doing such a thing as impossible without some kind of cheating as well.

The only real absolute proof he can give that he wasn't account sharing or anything is if he were to have live streamed the past entire 2 months, while constantly talking to show that it was the same person, and someone didn't just take over. But knowing you, you would still call it not enough proof, and to be frank, requiring such proof is absurd for it to be valid in your eyes.

I will say his accomplishment is worth merit and value, because he had the dedication to stay to something for over 2 months, giving up sleep/eating in order to accomplish this. And 2 months staying to the same things under insane conditions is alot more than most of us could take. So i say his accomplishment is worthy of something. I agree that it isn't healthy though, not at all, and i do hope he takes better care of himself once this is all over x0x

edit: also he didnt say he trained 24/7, he said he trained for something like 36 hours on, and 12 hours rest, then another 36, doing such a thing is possible, it isn't easy, but it is within human limitations. Is it healthy? most likely not, but he is going for a something no one has ever achieved before, which i would say most record holders probably at some point did some unhealthy things as well ;x

I appreciate this comment, because you are actually replying in a way that isn't defensive or making indirect baiting attempts (which for some reason the mods considered a report "Unwarranted") (and yes, that was the first negative thing I've said about the mods here in all the years i've been on this forum)

I have to disagree with some of things you said though:
Quote:You think its not important, and you consider someone doing such a thing as impossible without some kind of cheating as well.
I don't consider it IMPOSSIBLE, I just simply can't imagine someone doing this, going to such lengths for something which in the scheme of things ISN'T important.

Quote:But knowing you, you would still call it not enough proof, and to be frank, requiring such proof is absurd for it to be valid in your eyes.
First of all, you don't know me. And I never actually asked for proof, but without proof I can't see it the way other people are. And like I said earlier, I will likely never see any proof, and I am therefore indifferent about it.

At the end of the day, what I said was my own personal opinion, and I find it annoying that it blew up in my face like this, when any other day of the week, being skeptical would be an absolute norm for this forum.

Razmos Wrote:I don't understand how it's possible at all without botting or account sharing, and regardless of how it was done, it's still unhealthy and shouldn't be endorsed.

I honestly don't know when you said this, if it sounded differently in your head, but how you said it in that post, gave us the impression that, you considered it next to impossible without hacking, and if it somehow wasn't hacking/illegal, it isn't worthy of merit. Also just because you personally view something as not important, doesn't mean inmatesearch himself doesn't. If you view something important enough, and having enough dedication you can accomplish many great things. An example would be SRL user werster, who probably has played pokemon red over 10,000+ times, trying to achieve a perfect i mean perfect run/world record. You would consider this absurd, but with enough dedication anything is possible(btw he does hold the fastest pokemon red world record time)

Once again, i don't know how this sounded in your mind, but when i read this, im pretty much under the impression of, 'without absolute proof of not hacking' this isn't an accomplishment and he was hacking otherwise' and the reason i say this is because

Razmos Wrote:Oh i'm not saying it isn't a lot of effort, like I said, fair play to him for sticking with it, but I personally still think it's a stretch that he could do that everyday without bending the rules.

You acknowledged that it is effort on his part, but once again, you are asking for proof on this for self verification, for it to have meaning to you, and to that extent to everyone else.Secondly its okay to be skeptical, but once again, you said you know how his exp modifiers are working, the methods he is using, the fact that players have gone up to him, talk to him, even a gm teleported out of the map. Gms have talked to him, and you still claim it to be skeptical, and thats fine, there are people like that in the world, but you are asking him to go over and above to prove absolute innocence that he wasn't hacking, and that is what is annoying people with your post. (also this isn't the first time a post you have made had blown up in your face, ive been around to see you post enough, even if i dont log in, i do lurk on the forums)

I don't have time to reply to everything here, because it's late, but I'll say it again that I never asked for proof, nor expected it. I was purely stating my opinion, and i'm sorry if my thoughts came across as inconsistent or if anyone thought I was DEMANDING proof, which is absolute bogus.

And yes, I am aware that posts have done that before, but they do for many people. I'm surprised that someone remembers any though, since I really do not D:

c: its more a me thing, my memory is both a curse and a gift? I can remember unimportant details about useless things ive seen/read. Like i can remember most stats of monsters/equipments, and etc of maplestory/pokemon and other things i like and enjoy, also things like extraction data, and particular word choosing of people.

Its then taking those unimportant things and trying to run with them though x0x. Also i can't seem to remember peoples name, im very bad at that

Also to stay on topic: Bring 250 home to GMS inmatesearch Heart

From what I could glean out of the Twitch chat, he got d/c hacked and subsequently had to leave before hitting 250.

Nvm, could be just made up rumors. >Twitch chat.
