RED update thoughts and feedback

Yea it was nice.

Kinda sucks though that my main maxed out almost everything decent in red shop already, and the only stuff i really need with red coins badly are 50% epic pots! But hey, 1k of red coins is still great, ill just scroll hearts or buy cubes.

Hopefully, next week's patch resets RED shop. I should've grabbed one stack of the 500 on a different char to buy more icogs, but too late now.

Yea i almost did the same thing. I was like "yay 1k red coins! Lets just accept this on my mai..WAIT WAIT" -goes to check red shop, see everyhing is bought out "Allrigh then lets go to the mules!"

Man did I overlook that Hyper. F/Ps technically have the lowest status resist out of the 3 Mage types.

Our status shield is kinda ehh too Though if the boss doesnt fling aliments at you I suppose it can be pretty good also if you die while the shield is up from 1 on its rercreation to 5 you get to recast without cd

So I think Zero is a cool class and have rather enjoyed playing him at times, but I have an enormous problem with how they came up with the system to level him. I really like the idea of dungeons that assist you in leveling, but I despise the fact that a) I am cut off from the rest of the general pop. in the normal maple world and b) that Nexon decided to not give enough quests to keep your exp/hr at a decent rate unless you buy a quest booster.

I really can't remember the last time I've been this livid at something maple related. The whole idea that if you do not purchase a quest booster that you are just stuck in an endless grind, alone in these badly designed dungeons for hour after hour is absolutely retarded. It is so ridiculously pay-to-winnot-kill-yourself that unless I get a quest booster, I am having to spend an entire level grinding alone without complementary quests for hours on end. It's not even that I'm too cheap or poor to get one either. For f'ucks sake, forget 2.5k a piece for ten days, at this point I'd pay 5k for one that lasted 24 hours. But no Nexon, don't take my hard-earned money, go remove them from the cs because everyone knows that you will only make money if you constantly remove things from the cs to only bring them back later at the same price. Morons

Besides that, I love everything about the Red update.

They change the fact that you can't do anything in maple world until 180 in kms, you only have to finish chapter 2, but yeah it is a b'itch

I think the rate are decent, I can still get through 1 chapter within 2.5-3 hours for chapter 5 and 6.
Why are u feel so depressed about the solo grinding anyway? U can still chat in guild. Additionally you can party with other zeroes.
Also, most of the semi funded will solo their way throughout until 160 (MPE to 140, Evo/horntail to 160 or beyond). And they start from level 1.
I reckon the rate is still pretty acceptable getting from 150 -> 160 within 2.5 hours.

First off, I'm not depressed, just frustrated. I didn't add my Zero to my guild because I found it pointless at the time. I also have only seen two zeros the entire time I've played mine and both were afk. It is completely different for classes that aren't Zero so idk why you are even bringing that point up. If you hadn't noticed, I have a 200 bm, so I understand solo play and grinding and accept it for everyone who isn't Zero.

Idk how all of chapter 6 took you only 2.5 hours. I just spent 3 hours doing 152-157 because they keep repeatedly making me grind an entire level in the dungeon at 7% per completion. At three minutes a run it takes me nearly 40min to just go from an odd to even level

Funding can make dungeon clears way faster... I think my Zero's record is around 80 seconds in the 150-160 3rd area, but that's with Alpha's 3rd skill 1hkoing everything and Beta's 4th 1hkoing the boss.

You get a lot of exp for the final clear so it's basically a matter of going as fast as you can to get decent exp rates. I found it annoying too.

Why I ended up quitting at 160-ish is I'm easily distracted. The dungeon system means every 2 minutes you're finished, you can step away from Maple and do something else. When I'm grinding in Stronghold, I pick a map and stick to it for half an hour or an hour without breaks, no trouble. Which would be enough time to level up the Zero, but it's not grinding enough for me to actually do it.

Yea I agree completely. I am unfunded on my zero (yay maining a dex class) and while I admit that it is part of the problem, I can still clear the map with relative ease. Here is a perfect example of my problem however: I just hit 159 and finished all the quests in Magatia. I am sitting at 9% exp and now have to complete the other 91% in the dungeon. At 2.5min a run for 5% exp I have to grind there for nearly an hour. Tedious to say the least.

You have to click on the box icon in the achievement window to get that reward.

For some reason every single one of them said 'Received' even though I had never claimed the rewards :/

You also get a quest notification when you complete the requirements.

Anyone else having trouble logging in? All of my accounts are telling me they're not verified when I try to log into the game, and trying to log into the website just tells me there was an issue. Tried changing passwords and still got the same thing in both places.

It SEEMS to be an issue affecting everyone. Don't quote me on that, but there have been multiple threads about it on basil, as well as a few other sites.
