How was your day?
Water or something spilled in my dorm over the break. There's a huge fucking stain on my carpet. At first I though the AC might have leaked since it's right next to the carpet, but there was water on the bottom of my shoes in the closet as well, making me think some came from the door as well. Two of the three shoes I had out in my closet were foamposites, so the water didn't really mess with them, but my Penny Vs have a big stain on the toe of the right shoe. Hopefully this will be the end of the series of unfortunate events has plagued me for over a month. Winter break sucked and 2014 already seems to be off to a shitty start for me.

GS15 which is the highest you can get in civil service I think, unless you want to get into political which he does not. It's the equivalent of a military Colonel, before I thought it was General because one of his direct supervisors is a General he has to give a briefing too. In fact I normally wouldn't bring something like this up, but I'm so proud of him because the General wanted him back so bad he tailored this position to not have him require to have a master degree in engineering, which is like unheard of. Plus he had people fighting on his behalf over this. He got this job through hard work/experience, which is like the epitome of the american dream lol

To give you an idea of the prestige of this position, no one can contact you with inquiries if they are below GS 15, and any WRC meeting you attend is specifically dealing with ambassadors, in fact he's meeting the Australian one this summer. I don't know the paid grade but my estimation is it bumps him to the 150-160 range.

My god, you SHOULD be proud. That's crazy. But yeah, I'm familiar with the GS scale, I'm a DoD civilian employee Smile I've only met one GS 15 in my life. All of the 14s I know are superintendents/branch heads/etc of their departments

Oh good, at least you have context but yeah. He only has a BA in I think telecommunications I'm not sure. This job used to require a master and like 10 years of experience in Satellite technology, so when this position opened, he was the first one everyone recommended. So much so, they gave up the engineer requirement just for him to have it, which again, giving up an engineer GS 15 is just unheard of.

Today I hit a pole in the parking lot when backing up. Back window is tinted so it's kind of hard to see out of it, especially at 10:30 at night. Thankfully it barely left a scratch and I was going at a snails pace.

Still scared the crap out of me. Never hit anything before.

At least it was just a pole and not another car D:
I was backing out of a parking spot from a printing place, and backed into someone's car ._.
But in my defense: 1)They were parked in a 'small car only' space and 2)It was a large SUV. So they kinda had it coming?

People in this area are notorious for parking large vehicles in "small car" parking spots. This was at Starbucks a few months ago:

Car broke down in Russleville Arkansas :\ Our mechanic back in California said it may be an easy fix, so we will see in the morning... Memorial service for my great grandma is tuesday night, so we have a little bit of time. We are about ~12 hours away at this point.

I have ringworm (or at least that's what the internet has been telling me) and now I have a visibly noticeable bald spot in the back of my head (about the size of a dime). Had to cover the back of my head to avoid embarrassment all day long.

Fun Fact: Someone in my class thought World War I was when the US fought for independence.
