Dear Maplers,

We just wanted to remind you to always be on the lookout for potential scammers.

The team has received reports from the community that there may be increased scammer activity in the game promising NX Surprise Style Box items for trade. Please be wary when purchasing these items.

Even if you see sellers with items intended for sale please exercise good judgment before buying. If the deal looks too good to be true there may be something wrong with the item which could result in you getting scammed or purchasing a duped item which later gets removed from you.

Help keep the game clear of scammers by avoiding dubious sellers and questionable deals.

If players feel they have seen a scammer please send a Customer Support ticket to http://support.nexon.net including the suspected shop / player name and detailed information on why you feel they should be investigated.

Like a day late... And they made a notice about it, which is a LOT more than they used to do.

Thanks, Nexon!

Don't worry Nexon, I can't get scammed if I can't get on Maplestory in the first place.

Dear Nexon,

Please allow your players to sell ALL Nx items in their stores, this includes cubes etc.

Thank you

I disagree with this completely. This would make the whole pay2win thing wayyy worse. At least NX equips don't affect a character's strength.

I was more referring to how NX items have been duped for years now and this is nothing new.

New tactic: blame users for buying potentially duped items, saying "well we warned you about 'scams', bro"

Well this is interesting :f6:
I'm assuming it has to do with the nx dupe

It's stops the scamming. People still sell cubes etc through gifting so whats your point?

+1, made me laugh a bit.

Glad they put up a PSA, the legitimacy of the exploit has been questioned the past few days.

The legitimacy of using packets to duplicate items has been questioned?
Really?

I'm sorry, passing information along and getting a response of it being confirmed is not always an instant matter. The ticket system is slow, y'know.
Additionally, every Volunteer was skeptical of it being an actual concern.

There was a majority of players on /that thread/ stating it wasn't functional, so that's very reasonable.

Yes but that's technically not allowed. Additionally, this would just seal the deal and streamline the process.
