Was about to say the same thing. It is nothing more than similar names though, SAO's "tower" was a giant, floating, steel castle. ALO does have a more similar tower.

I wonder what type of new "extinct" monsters they will add. I remember from Mercedes storyline that monsters are quite different now.

What #entry is that in Inkwell's diary? How many did we miss in these 5 months?

I think I found something related to The SEED update. In the data, there's a bunch of new maps for an area called the 'Seabed Tower'. ^ Lobby. Might be the dungeons with 'new concepts' that they talked about.
There's 50 floors (some are missing though) and each one is like a diff area in Maple, some of them are just a bunch of plats with monsters but some are jump quests and it looks like some are like those special platform combination things in party quests.

The week isn't over yet. KMST patch will be coming soon.
And it's common now to release content 1 week prior to the public release in the test server. The test server isn't being monitored it used to.

Don't think the diary could announce anything too terribly exciting, seeing how common massive revamps and balance patches are these days.

Floor 11-~15 was actually kinda cool.

Then got boring again from 16~20, although seing tin man battle was interesting.

Just glancing, I don't think it says anything specific about who they're going to balance/etc.

Interesting facts though, MapleStory has 35 jobs, 16000 equipment items, 3000 monsters, 10000 maps lol.
