First the two Pirates in the hideout.... "I feel the same about you..." "No! I have feelings for your sister!" "But I don't have a sister, only a brother."
And then the conversation where you get an archivement literally called "Bromance".
Also, the quest that's called "This is so Metal". Goooood.
I like this game up to now.
It's "This Plan is So Metal".
I literally burst out laughing when the Bromance achievement popped.
There are a bunch of other jokes and references too. Like a Dwarf named Stark using a material you give him to make a red and yellow robotic body suit named Iron something (forgot the second word). Driving the point home by accident is a slight mistake causing the Dwarf to be renamed Tony in the chatbox after wearing the suit.
Come to think of it, there's also an Achievement called "My Precious", which is obtained by helping a goblin out. The grateful fellow gives you a totally useless ring in return.

At the end of the Stress Test I believe, which starts after CBT concludes.

During the Stealth mission where you have to get the Ceremony Items back from the Goblins, one of the skills is literally called "Beam me up".
Romeo and Juliet are also somewhere in every map, or at least, that's what it feels like. Their dialouges are so cheesy, god.
In the first map, where you start, Barbie and Kenny are discussing about how to make fish. And the Archivement-description for that somewhere contains that Ken drives her nuts, and she only likes to drive her pink car.
And I'm not even bothering too much to listen to every conversation. Seriously, the little dialouges that are everywhere makes it much more fun to stand around and just listen. I kinda have a hard time triggering them sometimes, though.

Oh yeah, I noticed the Beam Me Up when I was doing that mission. :x
Romeo and Juliet are in every area except Navea. And she rejects his proposal in Cactakara because he doesn't have a ring or flowers.
...Wait, what?

We're now in Stress Test, by the way.
Estimated duration is a week, but an alleged Aeria product manager said in the shoutbox that they might not need the Stress Test to last an entire week.
Crossing my fingers here; grinding instances is getting very annoying, mainly due to that stupidly low entry count.

Excessively important question: does the original version have more races and character customization than this one? Specifically, can I play as a little girl eventually? If not, I'm no longer interested in this, I only play games where I can be a little girl ;_;

you lolicon
Don't think so.
I'd prefer to play as a loli too (hence why my PSO2 characters are all lolis).

Nooo I missed the livestream (I overslept by 2.5 hours)!

Anyone planning to make a guild for SP members? You know, so we can all do raids and dungeons or just grind/farm together.
Oh, but the first order of business is: Which server will you guys be joining? Siren or Hydra?
Other information I just recently found out (uncentered for your convenience):
- There are JP and HK servers in addition to the TW server.
- Next class should be Katar, followed by Warbow. Katar is essentially a Monk class which revolves around its stackable self-buffs, and all of Warbow's attacking skills can be charged for more damage and effects (like bonus crit rate or stun chance or whatever). Information on these two classes and their skills can be found here. From what I can see, neither class will be spectacular subbed, especially Warbow since its base stat bonuses (only granted by the main class) give quite the boost to charged skills.
- If the Class page on the sites are up-to-date and to be believed, then Scythe, Katana, Greatsword and Rapier have only been announced, not released. i.e. not even the TW version has them.
- There's a trailer announcing a "mecha eidolon" called Icarus for TW, according to its title...but the video shows a person transforming into the mecha, so I'm thinking it's more likely to be a class and the guy translating just got confused.
- There's a Lv60 Otherworld instance with some kind of monster other than bunnies (can't remember what), so we should be getting that since the content cap will be Lv60. We had Otherworld Skandia (Lv50) in CBT, which had a ton of stupidly powerful bunnies that had a chance of spawning eidolons (raid-level, I presume) on death.
- On the other hand, probably no Sky Tower for us; everything inside appears to be above Lv60 so chances are it's content beyond Lv60. You can find videos of Sky Tower on Youtube by searching for 幻想神域 天空之塔 .

Also, I played the cannoneer grenadier for a short while, are they any good later on?

I've heard of this game a couple of times, and may want to get it (to take my mind off Maple)
Couple of questions (pardon me for being a noob)
1. Is this a F2P game?
2. How do dual jobs work? I'm a tad confused.
3. Is this a click and go like DN or button Masher like Maple?
4. Are the specs needed for normal gameplay high?

There are a few guides on the AK forums, but the general consensus seems to be that you should try stuff out yourself and go with what suits you (and your class of choice) best.
I'm not sure about Grenadiers. I haven't played them at all (and pineapple the Aeria forums for not having a search within thread function).

1. Yes.
2. You start off with a main class of your choice. At Lv40, you get a quest from the Archbishop or whatever which eventually culminates in you picking a secondary weapon of your choice. Any secondary weapon (except your main one, of course). Specific class combinations let you learn powerful skills (with 2 min cooldowns...yeah) via the Envoy's Path, which is basically this large skill tree filled with passives. After picking a secondary weapon (and equipping one, of course), you gain access to the skills of that class, though you still have to learn them one by one at a higher level than normal. All of the secondary class's skills have roughly 3 times the normal cooltime. You do not gain access to the secondary class's Envoy's Path and hence you will not be able to get their 14 to 15 (I forgot) class-exclusive passives.
3. Point and click like DN. Sorta. You could say it's somewhat of a button masher too because there's no MP gauge.
4. Not unless you set the graphics real high.

Doesn't matter to me either, but goddamnit I'm going to have to create two characters (one for launch...and another for whenever scythe comes out).

Game is really pretty, but I don't like to go too far in closed betas. Idc which server, I'll go wherever you guys go.
I'm not sold on any class, however. I want to punch people, use claws, scythes or halberds/polearms. Other weapons don't interest me. Katar looks pretty punch/slashy, so if that's out, it'll be my class.

Ravager is mostly AoE/Multi-enemy based, with two projectile attacks. It does deal pretty good damage, too.
I'm thinking of maining Raveger. For Closed Beta, I kinda started having Gernadier/Cannoneer as a sub-class, but I'm not sure.
Looking at the skills, a Raveger/Wizard combo could be quite good, too, due the AoE.
For a secondary, I had Gunslinger/Duelist in mind... is that good? I had it in mind that I'd shoot the enemys as a charge, and when they get close, finish them off with Duelist skills...

That's what I did, was a gunslinger and sub duelist. It was pretty good but I was thinking that gunslinger with sorc might be better.

Here's a timer for the game.
