Dear Maplers,

As many of you are aware some players were utilizing a packet hack over the holidays which allowed them to duplicate valuable items. The MapleStory team has blocked this hack preventing further use as well as identifying and temporarily suspending accounts of those players suspected to have been involved. A full Customer Service investigation is ongoing and appropriate action will be taken against those found guilty of using and promoting this hack. Most of the illegal items have been effectively removed from the economy.

We have decided against a rollback for this incident because we do not want to cause any further impact to our honest users. We are working diligently to improve our security against these types of attacks.

Thanks to all of the community members who helped us to identify this hack and to all of those who choose not to participate in these activities.

Seriously, what message is nexon sending to the average player. It is just showing that you can cheat and nothing will happen to you. Earlier this month they banned the dupers for less than 48 hours and then unbanned them. A few months back they mass unbanned TONS of hackers, because they had run off most the legit players with their lack of concern over the glitches and bugs in the game and its bosses. This is just a huge Pomegranate YOU LEGIT PLAYERS from nexon.
