And unbanned randomly during next week's SC. Rolleyes

They say it's a last resort but there's nothing else they can do but a rollback at this point I think.

Some douche on the Nexon said there's another private dupe that will probably be released after this. Can't wait!

Oh god, please no. Part of me REALLY has to wonder if they're just out to try and destroy the game at this point >.>

On a side note: wouldn't it be SMARTER to just keep your dupes and such private permanently? (or at least as long as humanly possible) That way they WON'T be patched out, and you could still make money off the unknowing innocents.

I'll be honest, if I ever decided to start hacking, that would be what I'd do.

Part of me is really hopeful for no rollback since we got another Superior Pendant today, but I know it's for the better.
Either way, I'm not going to lose sleep over it. Take your time Nexon, I need my 8-9 hours.

Luckily for us there's always some drama between the kiddos so stuff gets made public and patched eventually I guess. Rolleyes

From what I understand, what happens is that one hacker discovers the other's method, and then the first one makes it public to prevent the new one from profiting off it too much.
Also, many of them can't help but brag (and reveal key details along the way), and others care less for profit and more for "fun" - the fun of seeing the company and legitimate players suffer.

They sound like a bunch of brats if you ask me =P
but what can ya do I suppose; I REALLY hate those types that just like to "watch the world burn" so to speak.

If I was a hacker and i wanted someone else to stop useing a hack I would send nexon the hack directly

I think that hackers have tried doing that, but releasing the hack publicly causes it to be patched much faster then sending in a ticket. I've seen posts by hackers that release dupes/dc methods saying that they tried sending in tickets but were ignored, so they'll release it.

Through what? A ticket? That could be sitting there untouched for weeks.

If they don't even read/answer emails from their own staff members/volunteer, I doubt they would answer someone leaking hacks.

Isn't that a little bit optimistic?
