Boss Battles Thread

I beat Easy Magnus, but I have literally no idea how anyone can beat him on higher difficulties if he's this bullshit hard on easy mode.

He's much harder because he still has his glitched up attacks in normal mode >_< Dam green lazor...

Only died once this time. Getting better.



Failed two runs prior to this because I couldn't figure out how to hit the jewel. I almost decided to just jump and spam Soul Driver, but I seemed to have figured it out with Blast.

On another note, can't wait to try Livyatan tomorrow, as I had just enough energy to finish up 20 Rosa runs today.

CPB solo.
I wasn't expecting to kill it when I went in, just wanted to see how far I could get... was way easier than I thought it would be. I only died once to DR and it was during a lag spike.

Actual conversation before battle:

Friend: You remember the DR timing?
Me: Not really
Friend: W/e
Friend: YOLO



Things got ugly near the end as I could walk in after dying and eat a screen crack to the face, so we got very anxious as the death count dropped to the single digits. Definitely a closer call than when I duo'd with my F/P friend but I'm kind of excited to see how much better we'll fare post-RED!

Current buffed range for my Phantom's 127k incidentally. :v

Looked like 14 bodies by my count (14 being the very last one that dropped everything), is that right? Now I know when to equip my drop rate stuff.
No deaths this time.

I thought the last body was the 10th, must've missed a few at some point. Not having ranged attacks to deal with DR statues is not fun.

It's true what they say, practice makes perfect (or I got lucky)



No deaths. I did, however, forget to reset my hypers after training, so I had no blast hypers.

Soloed Chaos Von Bon today, after getting my decent SI/Adv Bless/CO equips. I'm still using a unique emblem with trash lines, and I can't wait for miracle time so I can cube it to legendary and with decent lines.

I participated in a run hosted by Ayo (Mundayo) of Khaini where we got as many people as we could for CPB.



The run only took 10 minutes, but it was fun. Being apart of a huge bossing group just gave me flashbacks of Pre BB and it was fun taking part in this. I sometimes do miss group bossing. Had 25 people come for the whole run, nobody died. To me, it's nice to put aside our soloing and have fun in a group. It was a great experience!

normal hillia isnt that strong she just artificaly has 2x the hp for most classes due to phy resist(that your void elemental took out)

Not really an accomplishment at this point, but it felt nice to finally do this. It's kind of sad thinking that my Mech with a 17 attack glove and I believe 6/8 Sharktooth gear with a range of ~42k couldn't even get through The Boss from Zipangu. I remembered spending ~20-30 minutes just struggling to even get through the 1st Bodyguard and his stunlocking BS. Then Bodyguard B was simply a really long battle of holding down the attack button. Then at The Boss I couldn't handle his 1/1 BS and ran out of potions really fast.

Oh my god, Zero makes bosses so piss easy to fight compared to Mech. Mobility AND power too strong. Oh, and I suppose the fu'ck-you buttons of invincibilty + no status effects made things rather trivial as well. I guess the +80 attack from my newly scrolled weapon and the free 60% boss damage helps, but I barely had any +STR% at all which should counterbalance it somewhat. But still, first time killing this mofo at last!


All 3 bosses dead in about 5-7 minutes. Compared to my ~40-50 minutes before of stunlocked pot chugging on my Mech and still failing to kill The Boss.

I'm pretty sure you can still use Siege Mode while stunned, unless they changed that.

It's been so long since I attempted the boss fight on my Mech, but I'm sure I wasn't able to attack while stunned. Even if that wasn't the case, rebuffing with 0% status resistance as a Mech vs Bodyguard A was a real pain.

Getting her to go down can be a bit of a pain in the ass sometimes...
