Marksman Bryan Wrote:Anyone that's actually tested it know if the "leechers" have to be within leeching range?

My understanding is that in order for the attacker to gain the full amount of party play EXP, the AFKers will have to be leech level, or if you are not high enough level for a 40-level gap, have 4 AFKers within leech level + 1 person 40 levels below your own, and then you will gain 4 members worth of party play and lose 1, since the lower level will not be able to gain party play EXP yet.
I sort of did this by accident, tried leeching my Bishop at Hall of Honour with a party of leechers + my level 170 Kanna and after 5 minutes of attacking one of the leechers asked why he wasn't getting any experience. Oops.

Wait so to clarify:

If you have one person 40 levels or below, none of your party members get EXP except you (ie, the attacker)?

Yup, that's right.
If there is a 40 level gap in the party, the only person who will gain any EXP is the person who kills mobs. Was helping a friend in the Evolving System yesterday (he was ~12x I think, I'm 213), took my DB and Bishop (200) inside and sat in the corner of link 3 while he killed everything, gaining full party play EXP, while my DB/Bishop didn't leech at all. Ridiculous EXP.

You guys should read this thread:

I have seen this guy grind in HoH. Nothing suspicious happened at that moment, all seems fine. His representative, Seat, even claims that lnmatesearch has been portaled to another map by a Game Master just to see if he was botting or not.

So far no ban. So far so good.

That topic is rather hilarious; "Heavy-Leeching" and "Glitch abusing"? He's not even leeching anyone, they can't gain any EXP, and if the Party Play EXP is a glitch, then why is it still a thing in KMS?

Oh sweet, if I'm following, this makes finding AFKers much easier since I just need a lvl 180 zero mule.
Might as well get to 230/top 5 while I can Shine L> moar bellocan helpers

Part EXP in HoH is definitely not a glitch. It's (HoH) even being monitored by staff, you would think that by now that : 1. this so called "glitch" would have been
discovered already & 2. lnmatesearch would have been penalized already. I did mention about the Game Master portalling him (assuming this is true).

I still don't see any reasons as to why this person should be questioned or even banned.

I meant people talking about how Inmate getting FULL Party Play EXP is a "glitch", when he shouldn't, because the "leechers" aren't able to contribute.
People think this thing only exists in GMS, which is not surprising at all, yet it's been a thing for a helluva lot longer in KMS. Nevermind this mechanic is probably prevalent in other Maple regions as well.

Nexon Forums Wrote:All I can say is good job abusing a glitch. He's getting FULL base exp and FULL party exp. It's a known glitch if there is a level gap greater than 40 in the party it disables the exp split, but you still get the party bonus if your party is within the level range of the mob. Soooo yeah. Good job abusing a glitch.

Let's see how this one works out then. If it really is a glitch abuse. Nexon, it's your turn.

I don't know whether it's a flaw in the design or the implementation, but it certainly makes little sense that characters who get no exp still count towards party bonus.

I still wouldn't call it glitch abuse, though. Not when it's been around for a while and the details are public. Nexon (both Korea and NA) has had plenty of time to either fix it or at least announce that it's not allowed. They didn't. So it's like the unreasonable exp Masteria mobs used to have: eventually they might change it, but nobody can be blamed for using it while it's there.

So much pomegranate drops at HoH both my marksman and bishop are lagging. Really frustrating.

also, it is impossible to keep up with a luminous. It takes me incredibly longer to clear the map than reflection.

it might be slower than wg with the lag lol

edit:

It sorta feels like they fixed one problem and created another.

Problem: People leeching way lower level characters
Solution: Max range of party members is 40; above that, no leeching for anyone.

New problem: People who aren't way lower level still don't leech, but do contribute to the party effect.

Also, I thought Evolution, etc. would require party members to be similar in level like every PQ does but apparently not...

Question; a 190 character is enough if you're willing to give up 1 slot of party exp bonus. I guess that depends how much faster TP is than HoH.

2x card + event + 2x buff

You have gained experience (+124671)
You received bonus EXP (+1570855)
Equip Item Bonus EXP (+37401)
Bonus EXP for PARTY (+349979)
Potion Bonus EXP (+12467)

That's not really significantly better than regular old 2x card + event + 2x buffs + HS though...

You have gained experience (+88243)
You received bonus EXP (+970673)
Elven Blessing Bonus EXP (+8824)

Your lines:
1x
12.6x
0.3x
2.8x
0.1x
= 16.8x

My lines:
1x
11x
0.1x
= 12.1x

I assume your Bishop's doing a 1.7x HS for some reason (the Hyper is a lie? Blessed Ensemble actually works?) whereas mine's basically the min level that can even get to Stronghold.

No idea if those numbers are right or whatever, all I know is that I gained 15% in roughly 1/10th the time it should have taken, with a large portion of that time not even killing things because I was too laggy from the half a billion drops.

On 1x drop there was no lag, and training 24/7 I could probably get to 230 by Thursday/Friday (hell, Wednesday if I truly didn't stop). Unfortunately I have more important things to do that I put off in order to test this today.
