Server Rollback

It's a bit annoying that people are expecting compensation for this.

They took the game down to fix a problem that needed urgent attention.
It's one thing if there's a server update/maintenance and they have a projected end time and go past that time.

While I'm glad they're doing this, I feel it won't help too much.

So, since this was a roll back that affected a 2x event are we getting 3x exp as compensation?. I wouldn't mind some maple points or RED coins as compensation.

This rollback does not overlap with the 2x event. The 2x event ended at 6PST.

This is just what I thought they'd do, roll back to after 2x ended, surprised they didn't do flat out 6 or 7 though.

I couldn't agree more with we shouldn't be entitled to compensation. The idea of a sort of entitlement seems misguided to me considering a lot of people went ahead and did little to circumvent the problem (I know realistically speaking this wouldn't address the problem).

People shouldn't be entitled to compensation for a problem that wasn't even remotely their fault?

If Nexon had even 1/4th of a brain in that entire company, They'd know that every time they update they unpatch some hacks, So why not fucking spend the extra time and maybe hire 1-2 more competent programmers to look over the god damn patches before shipping them out to the public.

This whole reactive method to hacking as opposed to a proactive approach is going to be the end of Maplestory, and possibly Nexon as well.

So ban on top of rollback, why not add hellban too?
Also I'm glad it's only till sunday at 8 pm since I went to sleep at that hour.

We have temporarily suspended accounts of players suspected of using this hack and will be continuing to investigate after the reset. Appropriate action will be taken against offenders.

Oh goodie, I was thinking they would rollback earlier. I had already leveled up my characters/did what I needed to do earlier that day by 8.

It's just silly that the NexonKR programmers are not working with (If any exist) the NexonNA programmers, to say something like:

"Hey, The bingo UI can be exploited, it happened in korea a few times but we patched it, just a heads up"

The only kind of "compensation" I care about is cash item extension and event extension (this includes attendance stamps).

I have excellent timing. I would just happen to choose yesterday to come back, and thengo and do all these event quests and finally get around to training my characters.... Oh well...

Only losing one day, and none of the 2x... I'm ok with this.

Sorta hoping they delete items affected by the hack, set a good precedent to stop people jumping on exploits in the future.

Losing progress on event quests is the only part of this that's annoying to me.
Silver lining is getting to try again at that bonus pot scroll.

I'm trying to figure out when I got my bowmaster to 100 yesterday.

Other than that, I lost my marriage and probably my newly made fire poison.
