Polygon Wrote:A man was robbed and fatally shot yesterday following a planned online arrangement to sell a PlayStation 4 console, San Francisco police report (as detailed in the San Jose Mercury News).

The victim, said to be in his early 20s, is believed to have met the shooter online and agreed to sell him the newly released console. After meeting, the victim was shot multiple times. The suspect took the system and fled the scene, police say. The victim was later taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he died.

Investigators are now searching for surveillance footage that could lead to an arrest of the suspect.

Flip your consoles in a safe place, everybody.

Or dare I say it, A PC@@

Although the comment does come off pessimistic, it really makes you wonder how a guy can value another persons life at less than 500 dollars.

Fun fact, apparently the federal government rates a human life to be like 2.5m

Why shoot him come on?The other guy was most likely a gamer so I'm totally sure the guy could have taken the console and fled without problem. (Implying gamers are phisically weak and wouldn't get into a fight with an armed guy for a mere console)

i'd say because he'd be able to identify him (at least visually, if he had used a fake name and stuff)

Saw this on the news last night. To think this would happen in SF of all places. I hope the suspect gets caught.

I think the blood-splattered PS4 will give it away.
