Potential Lock Update

Cubes will be getting a makeover in the RED update, and as a result, the current, regular Miracle Cubes will not be available for sale after the update. Since Potential Locks only work with regular Miracle Cubes, we suggest using up the locks you have before then. Any unused Potential Locks will be refunded or they will be replaced with one of the new cubes.

Nice to see we're getting the cube revamp; wonder if we'll be getting the red / black cubes from KMS RED or something unique.

honestly, I think the real reason is that red cubes work on legendary equips, so pot locking legendary equips would be just a tad...broken. >_>

They're from Japan, but yeah, none of the new ones alter the amount of lines on an equip. 20 Red Cube Fragments or 15 Black Cube Fragments will get you a 100% stamp to add a 3rd line.

It's basically saying that since Potential Locks only work with normal cubes, use them up now since they don't work with red cubes.

Perhaps, but they could probably just not make it work on Legendary equips.

Yup, the two new cubes replace all the other existing ones* (aside from Occult cubes, and the Carved Slot ones)

I'm not sure if they can add a 3rd line of potential to a legendary item though.

They're significantly better than any cubes we currently have, and cost (basically) the same as the current ones too, so it's a great change all around.

*NX ones, I mean, there are still the ones you can craft with Blacksmithing or whatever
