RA people don't really get screwed by this at all. As a matter of fact assuming everything does indeed get transfered over, an RA user just upgrading thier weapon can result in over a 200 attack boost and still keep thier 60% boss damage. I am not sure if I am reading the chart correctly but I belive any combination RA+Tyrant with or without Vortex weapon will still be beating Empress-Vortexed equips by a considerable amount.

Love it!

Literally this month I wished that Nexon had sea battles that involved a Kraken. I wonder what else I should wish for.

The problem is that you can't ever trade them once you've equipped them, you can't scissor them after equipping, it's just completely untradeable, which isn't the same as the RA or Empress sets.

Duo Wrote:Katara has boss damage. Does it count for the set too?

Nope, doesn't count towards the set. I also wouldn't count on the Katara still having the boss damage/ignore DEF when gets out of the test server.

Staff leveled = 45allstat, 210matt (+10pdr, 30boss) clean. Beats fafnir (203, 40all). Good xD

Thanks for sharing Grey!

not really that staff has 1slot less ...that 1 slot can give u one more 9 attack or 10 attack scroll... so on a single item alone fafnir still better

I'm really confused. So, you can transfer even the base Watt from an empress/fafnir weapon?, meaning that you could get a clean 500 Watt Whirlpool weapon in some cases?.That's insane....

I don't think anyone knows for sure how it works, no one has actually done it yet, as far as I know.

You still have 10% PDR and 30% Boss on the 160 weapon, which does beat fafnir then (especially when you look at single item alone)

And wow, that's some smexy dragon!

How does that beat fafnir? Fafnir also has passive boosts in boss and pdr O.o

And to the rest of the thread.

Set good for unfunded. Funded chars not so much. Hmm wonder if this will help increase the worth of empress gear now..

@above: There is NOTHING indicating that those stats don't get imprinted on the new equipment.

Uh what. A fafnir -> whirlwind is leagues stronger than empress->whirlwind...

Also, on tradeability, i think you guys are totally forgetting the free job system, and how much raw f'ucking power you're gaining by converting.

As far as I can tell, it's not as if you use Empress or RA gear to make 160 equips, you basically just use them as a scroll for your new equip, so I would guess nicely scrolled Empress equips would increase in value, but clean ones are useless for this.

Takebacker Wrote:@above: There is NOTHING indicating that those stats don't get imprinted on the new equipment.

I would guess they'd simply take the difference in stats from the average. Much like how its now displayed on your equips. For example, using a +10 Fafnir that was average would get you +50atk on your new weapon, while using a +10 Fafnir that was +10 but for some reason you had and scrolled one that was 3 below, you'd only get +47 atk on your new weapon. And following that, since bdR and imDR are both average stats for a Fafnir weapon, they'd be discarded, but that is just a guess.

That would completely invalidate any reason to upgrade from fafnir. It makes so much more sense if they either added the scroll stats to the item from the 160's base, which is incredibly OP (although apparently justified given how many people see untradeable and go away), OR if they just replaced 160 stats with the scroll stats which would not only retain the power difference between empress and fafnir after the upgrade it would also leave you with the level ups to gain the ridiculous bonuses, as well as the boss and ignore you gain from leveling the weapon, AND the set eff is much better than fafnir's because of the enormous all stat and w.att gain. I don't know how the slots would be affected by either instances though, and there are obviously some equipments that don't have fafnir equivalents so empress is the only option.

Too many of you are underestimating this system, it makes the set totally viable and it saves so much money in the end. Even if you do have to recube, as long as you have legendary you're fine...

Well, yeah. I'm not operating on the assumption that this set is actually any good, but instead what makes the most sense given the parameters of what they're trying to do, what they stated was supposed to happen. The fact that this set is 160 doesn't mean it has to be better than the 150 set, or even any good, it would make a lot of sense for it to be, but that isn't necessarily the case. As far as we know, you can only retain enhancement bonuses, which I would wager means all scrolling bonuses, and potential, which we now know only means rank, so I doubt you can actually transfer over anything else, including things like the attack difference between Empress equips and Fafnir equips, or the boss damage and ignore DEF.

I'd agree with you, but that still doesn't change the fact that it clashes with tyrant AND dojo gloves, which I'm leaning towards being too much of a loss to be worth the trouble. Especially if you've got like 10+ stars on your tyrant gear.

But in this game, the weapon alone would make the entire set viable because it's double the previous cap. GMS doesn't have that system, and the 160 stuff is clearly not done yet, so we do still need to see what they finish with.

And i think it's clear that anyone who goes for perfection gets f'ucked in this system, but SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much less than everybody getting f'ucked in any other new high level set that's been introduced into the game. The amount of perfection needed to make the transition not worth it is actually really high.
