Gunslinger Build (Lv. 10-200)
Here's the video I was attempting to find earlier. Level 91 Valkyrie Sniping Jr. Newties

I already posted it in the guide, I just missed it Rolleyes

As you can see, Triple Fire bends nicely to allow safe sniping from that spot. The video looks slightly sped up to me though.

Hey man, thanks for the credit on your guide, haha. It looks pretty good! Though, like what we've spoken of on another forum, I wouldn't suggest getting the summons before Cooling Effect in third job. Overall, looks really nice; I guess I won't need to post my guide here. Tongue

Oh and BTW, for the Jr. Newties annotation, a Valkyrie will definitely have enough HP to survive a Jr. Newtie magic attack by the time they can train there. At my current level (73), I have 2293 HP, lol.

Yay you joined Southperry. It's nice to have an experienced Gunslinger on hand xD

Wow, their HP is better than I thought. I'll remove the annotations Biggrin

Oh and about Cooling Effect, is there any reason it max it that early? The way I see it, Fake Shot is good enough, unless I'm missing something o_o

You mean "On Deck", right? Rolleyes

Fake Shot hits three, Cooling Effect hits six. Only real difference I see. :/

I know Cooling Effect is better. It hits 6 monsters and has a larger range, but is it really needed for Jr. Newtie training especially if its just going to be sniping Jr. Newties with Triple Fire?

Cooling Effect has a higher damage percentage than Fake Shot (you'll want to incapacitate them somehow) and also applies extra elemental damage while freezing. At the rate you'll be killing monsters in that level range with Triple Fire, the extra damage from Cooling Effect will more than likely be more helpful than a slow attacking Octopus or an every now and then Gaviota. Well, sniping Newties would destroy any need for the ice, while both the Octopus, if places correctly, and Gaviota, which just requires a button pressed every five seconds, can do extra damage at almost no risk to you. Planting an Octopus might be dangerous, but Gaviota would be a marvelous damage addition. :o

True, Gaviota would be a very good addition. I remembered the cooldown as 30 seconds for some reason.. lol.

Though, we're not only talking about Jr. Newties. I doubt a Valkyrie will really want to train there until 9x. I'll be sticking with getting Cooling Effect before a summon because I'll be training at Centaurs during late 7x-8x and the 6 monster freeze will be EXTREMELY helpful there.

Very nice guide; I will be making a Gunslinger as soon as Pirates come out.

Oh, here's a screenshot that might go well in the Motivation section... Tongue

Wow thanks for the screenshot. I added in a screenshot section and put it in there. That is some really impressive damage o_o

I have a question about Battleship Cannon/Torpedo. Do you know if they use bullets or not? :f6:

I'm almost certain that neither skill uses bullets, though I could be wrong, so don't quote me on that. XD

I hope you're right though. Then Battleship is not only powerful but efficient as well Biggrin

It would be kinda odd if it did use Bullets considering that the ship fires cannon balls and torpedoes xD

I just read through the entire thread (should have done that before posting.. d'oh) and found something I'd like to comment on!

In one post, you said that Valkyries would probably be sniping from the top middle platform at Newties, but I think we'd be better off on the bottom middle platform adjacent to the Newties. That way, when the first one spawns, you can freeze or stun it, kill it with Triple Fire, and then snipe the second one until the first spawns again. The only reason that anyone goes to the top middle platform is because they can't take a hit or can't incapacitate them. Valkyries can do both. Tongue

Also, as a sidenote, if there's any information that I can get you as low 7x Valkyrie, I'd be more than happy to provide screenshots or videos of just about anything you'd like. Tongue (I'm out of ideas! lol)
