Upgrade NPC text?
L> Translator (hadriel;?)
I roughly give you guys the idea on what the NPC says, since my translation is not as professional as hadriel
1st image
Through upgrading, you can carry over the effects of the equipments you own now on to the lvl 160 set.
2nd image
First, the equipment which its effects to be carried over is known as “Material Equipment". To use "Material Equipment" , you must fulfill the following criteria:
1. The equipment's potential rank must be rare and above.
2. Unidentified equipment cannot be used. (means you do not reveal the potential stats)
3. The equipments used must be either lvl 140 or lvl 150 set. (never mention anything about Japanese Myth Set and Tyrant Set apply or not)
3rd image
Second, the equipment which receive the effects is known as "Resultant Equipment". Only lvl 160 Whirlwind Set can be used as "Resultant Equipment".
4th image
Third, there are a few requirements:
1. Upgrading system can only be used on same type of equipment (Means overall --> overall, shoes --> shoes and etc.) 2. While upgrading, only potential ranks can be kept, but potential stats will be reset.
3. Enhancement effects will be kept the same, but the star symbol will reduce by one, so that the additional enhancements can be carried out. (doesn't quite understand this)
4. After upgrading, the resultant equipment will become untradeable. (no mention of Sok or PSok)
5. The effects of unboomed (?) scroll and Lucky Day scroll cannot be carried over.
So if i'm not wrong, you must get your hand the Whirlwind set first before you can carry over the effects of your Empress set and Root Abyss set.

Ohhh i think i get it. Basically, the 140 and 150 equipment themselves are "scrolls" for the 160 pieces Grey; listed before. Whatever stats, stars-1, and potential tier you have for those equipments will be given to the respective piece of the 160 set.

Just here to say that according to the image, what you said seems right.
Only mistake you made was you said 2nd image twice and 3rd image should be 4th. =)
The text on the 1st image is also pretty vague so it's not clear exactly what does and doesn't get carried over. All that boss damage and ignore def on RA gear? No idea lol
Pythagoras Wrote:Zero Alpha is called "Roinne" or something close to "Robin". Okay, it sounds better at least. [Correction] He is called like this before he escapes from the hands of Shadow Knights. He is still called Zero Alpha at the end.
Are you sure? If so, then that's a fail translation on their part.
Spoiler
Before his "new life", he was known as Nine as in number 9. He's Nine because his past has been continuing him for 9 times. After he found out his memories were corrupted, he managed to escape and started a new life. In his new life he calls himself Zero to start over with a clean slate.
1. Potential rank Keep not bad... I could use a nub legendary empress gear to get a free legendary item it a start but too bad I cant keep the same pot I got from my empress and im not going to recube for the stats
2. For us to upgrade the equip.... it not FREE upgrade it req us to get one of the same 160 equip and one more equip to upgrade .... so basically we need a level 160 equip + 140 or 150 equip of scrolled or potted to upgrade 2 equip for one LOL.......
3. After upgrade it said untradeable so if that is no psok or sok can be use ... then it a useless upgrade...
Just ditch this idea nexon, its not gonna work, or at least make it good.
Switch that overall with a top + bottom, give the weapon passive boss dmg/ignore def (preferly more than fafnir 40%/20% or so), bump 6th set effect down to 4th (but also increase the boss dmg to 50%) and let the other pieces of the equipments stay how they are now. It lets people go from empress to 160, but also doesnt make it crappy compared to the current 150. However the cost to upgrade from empress should be a lot higher than upgrading fafnir.
Obviously the passive ignore def/boss from fafnir could be transfered, however that still doesnt make up for its crappy set effect.

I guess they are trying to make those names a real name instead of numbers.

cost upgrade is already high cuz u putting up a 160 equip that should be enough hand I don't think anyone would dare to upgrade their fafnir equip but if they want...

Did you read my post at all? Did you not read what I suggested them to do with the set effect & weapon? You are already getting 10% more ignore def & 10% boss from weapon, and 20% extra compared to what 150 gives for set effect, why shouldnt this be that costy?
When I get 6 mentions I feel scared :\ my com overheated so don't mind me being late.
The set effects are as hfok described. those 2 lines are accuracy and avoidability respectively. Also, the green words mean "cap-breaking/raising weapon", and in this case it raises the cap by 20m (the other line of green words).
I'm on my phone now so I will keep updating this post as I view stuff.
edit 1: the boss damage on the full set bonus is 30%. Also, note that this Vortex/Whirlwind (whatever the name is, I prefer Vortex lol) uses common equipment, and only the weapons are job specific. Consider the implications yourself.
I am not sure why everyone wants to go out and upgrade their well-scrolled/well-cubed equipment already. Does Nexon's business model really work this effectively? First you complain about there being too much Pay2Win, then you want to pay more. Sigh.
I am not even so sure why everyone expects this new set to outclass older sets. Does the level required trick you into thinking it should be better? Consider Alien PQ equipment first or the Sengoku set. Maybe this exists as an option, like the others.
That mini-rant aside, collectively, I don't think the set as currently constituted will beat out the combination of Fafnir/CRA + Gollux + Tyrants. A three-set Face Accessory, Eye Accessory and Shoulder might be worth it...until the three-set becomes two-set if the Inverse (Kritias) Set with its Shoulder is introduced, too much Boss Damage to contend with. Nonetheless, I would very much like this set on mules but the RED set might be easier to collect.
I don't like how Dawnveil is being assembled, I realize that the Ossryia is also constructed as a hodgepodge of random-terrain puzzle-pieces with no gradual shift between territories, but I thought that there might be an overarching theme or story behind Dawnveil, I guess not. Scary forest, okay! Let's throw a Venetian town right next to it, and next to that, hmm...how about an arctic wonderland!

2 Piece is All Stats +25, ATK/MATK +20
3 Piece is All Stats +75, ATK/MATK +35
4 Piece is All Stats +95, ATK/MATK +48
The rest of the stats are rather lame.
Oh right, and the green tag of course means that the weapon is a superior item.
That green tag doesn't mean superior item. It say 'damage cap increase weapon'. Notice in the bottom there's another green text with 19,999,999 in it. Remember CMS has that weird 'damage cap depend on wep' bs.
Alright I'll do a new post for this. The upgrading NPC text is more or less well-translated by Pythogoras. Just some things to add on:
- It makes no mention of exactly what stats are transferred over. Is it the scrolled stats + enhancements, or is it literally 160WA on a lvl150 equipment --> 160WA on a lvl160 equipment? - Enhancement bonuses are all brought over in full, but the enhancement count decreases by 1, allowing for further enhancement.
- I'm assuming B-rank potential means rare... in which case it's a very lame requirement.
- You cannot carry over lucky day scroll and protection scroll effects. Does not mention if such equipment cannot be carried over.
- Equipment becomes untradable after carrying over the stats to the Whirlwind/Vortex equipment. Again, no mention of PSoK or anything but I would assume it to be fully untradable.
And in the briefest and most accurate description, Takebacker; nailed it, barring the fine details that we have yet to confirm.
edit: consider the implications if it is a direct number-for-number carrying over. Can one enhancement compensate for the higher stats of a higher-levelled equipment? And at what cost?
