Good news is, the event will be extended.
No ETA on when it'll be fixed.

1 Has a longer event period we can attend, the other is just the same amount of time for the event but the days we missed are 'compensated'.

You should totally tell them to extend the event long enough so that the new Zero class players can get totems.

Well, here's a small list Waltzing told me:
"Passes being used up without people being taken into the dungeon instance, skipping rooms, getting stuck, getting Unleashed Coins"

As for the cause, does anyone know?

They know *what* is happening, but as of the last notice on the official forums, they don't know *why* it's happening. They were "unable to replicate this issue" or whatever the phrasing is.
They should know all these things (except the Unleashed Coins) happen when the game tries to move you into a room that's already occupied. It's something they won't be able to replicate as long as a single tester is trying to do it. So they need to be told.

Lots of people refrained from buying them on the only day of the event because of the bugs. It would suck to have them fix RLH after the time frame of the discount without that being reconciled. Heck, lots of people probably went out and bought NX for the passes in and of themselves.

If he hasn't addressed that to you, would you be so kind as to relay the query and bounce it off of us thereafter?

The worst thing to have happen is not having a layer of certainty in that answer, having a dilemma about whether or not to spend the NX while the discounts are still active, and opt out of them only to find it's too late to buy anything including the tickets.

I can ask, but it won't be until Monday, and even then... it depends on my work schedule.

*crosses fingers that they replaced all unleashed coins with black friday ones so that the mules I have have a shitton of coins because I'm too lazy to drop them*

I hope sengoku high gives black friday coins now and it wasn't solely a fix for unleashed coins so that you can buy prots with sengoku high keys~

I had two passes in my inventory when I accepted my 34 passes as compensation, they got lumped together with an expiring pass.

I have a day to use 36 passes.

They are called one day passes, and are in the ETC tab, but they have no expiry counter.
