In a crazy fit in insanity/tenacity, I've finished up all up to the latest videos for EFR. How did I endure all that? Thank my phone + Youtube app, and the ability to download the videos into an MP4 format so I can watch them to pass the time outside of being at home.

Managed to create at lease 2 level 90 characters, and helped pass the time when I had to farm stuff in any game. I'm clearly not lost my mind yet.

I'll be honest, aside from wondering if this was rushed or they have officially ran out of ideas, this episode seemed to be..okay.
Something to really question here, was the fact that for one, how did this "Tree Of Harmony" even exist? To an extent, even Celestia and Luna do not know of it's origins, that or even how they found it. Convenience? To of a more extent, for one Plot Device, they give it up for another plot device, which was been explained already:"It's a box." It's pandora's box obviously. It's either that, or possibly a upgraded set of Elements, and that it's worth watching key episodes, and that I'm guessing we're to have high expectations on.

Things still seem way to convenient. The elements being in Twilight's former living quarters, Zecora's potion, the roots being impervious to everything, and even the flashblacks to an extent. Still, if it was rushed, that's not good, well, nor is it bad, but let's just hope the quality doesn't suffer...at all.

OH SNAP THE BLACK VINES WERE ALL DISCORD'S DOING BEFORE HE GOT TURNED TO STONE. HE KNEW ALL ALONG. AND IT NICELY WRAPS UP THE EVENTS OF BOTH EPISODES.

While the battle between Nightmare Moon and Celestia was much shorter than expected, in a way we already know who's going to win, so I guess they didn't want to spend more time than necessary to prolong the inevitable. Also nicely shows why Discord was in such a happy mood when he was turned to stone (he was laughing at the idea he can be defeated). Who knew that all the events caused in the two episodes were a final act from Discord thousands of years back.

Overall: 9002/10. Best season opening in my opinion. But may not show to new fans since there's loads of callbacks.

A little too much exposition. I really do like the show better when it's sticking to being slice of life, but this was a very well done plot episode. Much better than the S3 "adventure" episodes.

Discord was by far the most entertaining part of the episodes.

Megan McCarthy still can't write Pinkie Pie.

Discord is my lady's favorite character (and my favorite villain in the series), and she's not even an MLP fan (she watches it as a once in a while thing).

As soon as he showed up, I made her stop anything she was doing to watch this.

I really liked these episodes, I have to agree with IllegallySane and call it the best season opening(yet) although just by a bit(second best would be season two), maybe it's because we only had one small deux ex it being zecora's potion(why did she had a potion only alicorns can activate? were they once common enough to warrant stuff that only alicorns can use?) or maybe it's that nice look into the past with a potential plot coming from it(from the sisters being all beat up in their search for the tree and why did they end up building their home over the tree), other than that I was hoping celestia was a tad smaller with a pink mane before she banish luna to the moon.
