RED micro-site now out!

Way more than that, actually.

- If the set includes Hat/Top/Bottom/Weapon, will it be enough to beat RA?
- If the set includes Gloves/Shoes/Capes/Hat/Top/Bottom/Weapon, will it be enough to beat RA, Tyrants, and Dojo Gloves?
- How will they ensure that everything is transferred over correctly (Nebulites, Scrolling, Enhancements, Potential, and Bonus Potential)?
- How will they transfer an Empress Overall into a Top/Bottom (assuming it's a Top/Bottom set)?
- How will they account for equipment that has a different number of slots?
- How will they keep the upgrading process fair, so that people aren't able to use Empress equipment to achieve the same results, at a much, much lower cost?
- What will happen to the prices of Empress and RA equipment?

Just a few things to consider.

I'm curious to see the differences. Many versions are getting ready for RED.

Will you be able to give us more info on this, Spadow?

I'm wondering, could it be a dual set mix?

Like there are 4 pieces to fafnir, 7 to empress. Why not just make people upgrade the missing pieces fafnir does not have [cape, shoulder, shoes from empress] so the 160 set has a full compelte of equips [because lets face it, fafnir doesn't look like a complete set]?

Of course this would make the set less worthwhile depending on the bonuses for having the 3 extra pieces due to tyrant gear taking 2 of those slots.

You talking about fair? lol Empress prices will go up its that simple. For those that spent a ton on ra stuff whats done is done. You cant call the "unfair" card when you already own a piece of equipment that a majority did not have (ra). God forbid a semi decent mapler is getting the same results as a super1337 mapler for cheap. Good things come to those who wait

I believe empress items will have more value than ra equips because their is more on the market compared to ra. Its all speculation until the 160 items are released

Maybe there 2 set of level 160 equip one for RA and one for Empress and each 160 set has it own set and stats...

so im counting upgrading fafnir equip would give you better stats than upgrading empress gear

Or even worse, a reverse/timeless -> abyss/fearless style transition without even a recolor.

The only lower cost would be the meso price of the clean pieces. The cost to scroll and cube is exactly the same (give or take a slot or two), and is orders of magnitude higher.
In case you hadn't noticed, Nexon doesn't care much about the "fairness" of the in-game meso market.

the bosses that you need to kill for 160 gear materials are probably going to be impossible

Who cares?

Event Calendar suggests either December 4 or December 11. The last of the current events, Absolute Belt, ends December 8th, which is a Sunday. They never patch on Sunday. So either they'll patch on the 4th (when everything else ends) or they'll just let us go event-less for a few days before a patch on the 11th.

Of course if they don't have RED ready they might do some events-only patch on the 4th (maybe bring back a fixed Sengoku High for a couple weeks? Probably too early to hope for that), and then RED will be later in the month.

Bottom line: who knows? Who cares?
Personally I just hope they raise the character slot limit for Zero, otherwise I'd have to delete something.

Do you guys think Cannoneers and DB's will also get revamped right off the bat?

Thank goodness I still have a slot.

Also, Waltzing brought us more insight on RED.

Basically:

*Bamon's League is out of the question.
*Hetakon is on the drawing board until certain issues are dealt with. As a result, Kritias will be under review.

If we can transform our 140/150 equips into 160 versions, while keeping the potentials and scrolls/stars, I'll actually start believing that it's the beginning of a change for "a better Maple". Also hope to see what they're gonna do about the A Better Maple poll.

Probably. They are getting the adventurer treatment after all. Why would they hold back on 2 classes that get less tweaked than the rest?

To be honest, I don't think there will be new level 160 equipment, even though the teaser site said "new". I believe we'll be able to trade our Fafnir / Empress weapons for Terminus versions.
The site said Fafnir equipmet, and not Root Abyss.

I'm actually glad they're taking the time to fix those, instead of just releasing buggy versions.

I'd like to think that Fafnir equipment and root abyss equipment are more or less used interchangeably. You're leaning too hard on the assumption that Nexon is using either one in favor over the other to actually specify weapons or armors.

Did I miss something? I'm pretty sure Fafnir gear IS Root Abyss gear. Unless you're thinking of the special property gear, but even that's way too generous.
