RED micro-site now out!

http://maplestory.nexon.net/micro-site/red

Be warned: The video will make you cringe.

EDIT: Info released thus far for the lazy...

Quote:Revamped Explorers

The five original Explorer jobs (Warrior, Magician, Bowman, Thief, and Pirate) are being revamped, with new skills, new quests, a new tutorial, and more! Explorers also get the option to change to a different branch of their main job after their 4th advancement. And now that Dual Blades and Cannoneers are now classified as normal Explorers, they share Cash Shop inventories with the rest of the Explorers.

Dawnveil: Commerci

Explore a new region of Dawnveil - Commerci, the trade republic! Commerci features a dynamic day/night cycle where you can meet different monsters and find different crafting materials at different times. We're also rolling out a trade system where you can take part in sea battles against boss monsters and get items to make brand-new Lv. 160 equipment! Upgrade your Lv. 140 Empress and Lv. 150 Fafnir equipment to the new Lv. 160 equipment and carry over the potential rank and enhancements!

Profession System Update

New Craftsman and Meister ranks have been added to professions. Take your profession to the next level, and you will be able to craft special kinds of Miracle Cubes! Meister rank can also increase your chances of creating items with high rank stats. And the days of picking between Mining and Herbalism are over; now you can learn both. We've also updated some items - crafting ingredients, added the ability to warp to Ardentmill from the Profession Window, and changed up the items you can buy from Ardentmill's merchants.

Meet Zero, a new playable character!

Zero is actually two separate characters that you can control at the same time by swapping between them in battle. Both of these heroes have a distinct fighting style and set of skills, so find a combo that works for you and go to town!

Looks like Nexon has been paying attention to the things I've been saying.
Also looks like it won't even require Cash Items. Hm.
Well this is unexpected.

oh, RED stands for Revolution! Evolution! Defiance!

That's much better than KMS's version.

Wow. Commerci, 160 equips!

I am actually rather excited for this, since it'll be somewhat different from KMS.

Also, the singer for the video kinda sounds like Charice, but I'm like, tone deaf, so I don't know.

I really hope this level 160 equipment is Terminus-related, else I wasted a bunch of money. Rolleyes

When i read that i fell in love! Being able to upgrade existing weapons and not having to re cube? Better get all the empress weapons now and wait for this.

Finally i'm able to upgrade my weapon without spending a lot of mesos or nx.

What do they mean by keep the enchantments? Will the attack i added on my empress be added on to the new 160 weapon?

Just be a little bit wary.

I'm starting to recognize how obvious this is now. They fucked up big time, what with the whole Sengoku High screwup, so in order to distract everyone they did an emergency launch of the RED teaser.

So i'm guessing you go from port to port, fighting off pirates along the way.

Seems like an interesting idea for a PQ.

Looks like no Flames for Jewelists. Rolleyes

No need to recube? Wow.

Next thing you know, it's tradeable without limits. Haha.

Keep in mind it says potential RANK, not potential LINES. It may go either way, but I'd be wary for now.

Because everyone can have emp equips as is, right?

Let's inflate them, then.

Fixed. You can hardly call the Pirate buffs a revamp.
