Doctor Who - Series 8

I was pretty disappointed at first but he seems like he'll make a great Doctor. Excited to see how it turns out, I didn't like Matt Smith at first either, and he ended up being amazing.

Also very cool that he's a life long fan of the show, I feel like that'll make a difference.

I'm kinda hoping for something alien, like the 4th or 6th Doctors' outfits, though I don't think they should even attempt to top the 6th Doctor's fabulous coat of fabulousness. As long as it's not boring like the 10th Doctor's outfit, it should be decent.

But I can't help but wonder about John Hurt. If he truly was a previous Doctor, wouldn't that make Capaldi the fabled '13th' Doctor? I mean, I suppose Hurt didn't deserve that title, but that regeneration energy...

Supposedly, he is a older version of a previous incarnation, which is believed to be 8th's incarnation. So this could be in a way on how 8 regenerates or something. We won't know till November.

John Hurt isn't playing a regular numbered Doctor. Chances are he's similar to the Valeyard and the Dream Lord: he's a part of the Doctor, but he's not THE Doctor, if that makes any sense.

I like how they hid the Eighth Doctor behind the crappy Ood monsters, and I had to watch the video a few times just to find out where the Seventh was hiding... :/ I'm sure the Day of the Doctor will be fun, but The Light at the End will most likely be a much better 50th anniversary special.

Finally finished up Series 7 a few days ago. Spilling out my headcanon for who the mysterious person at the end of the final episode is:

They never revealed how the 8th Doctor died nor did they ever showed his regeneration into the 9th Doctor. As far as I'm aware, it's actually the 8th Doctor but he's aged immensely because he spent a lot of time traveling alone after what he did in the Time War. We all know the 9th Doctor and beyond couldn't forget the Time War and felt great guilt. So in a way, the 8th Doctor probably did something that shamed him immensely. No regeneration or death shown? It leaves room for the 8th Doctor to be this guilt ridden old man. The 11th Doctor can't know the actions of his future regenerations for it can/will cause a Time Paradox. It can't be a future Doctor, and obviously if John Hurt were to the 13th Doctor he's need to live out at least another 7-8 years of his life when he's already in his late 70s if he's going to be the 13th Doctor, and that's going to be extremely risky.

We can also attribute this to be a regenerated body part (similar to the Meta-Crisis 10th Doctor), but that's less likely. Even less likely is this is another Remnant of the Doctor made real.

I bought the 50th Anniversary special and I'm loving it so far. It's very action-packed and there's nothing better than the Doctors making fun of each other. I'm on the fence about the theme though. What do you guys think?

I've read that this mini-episode has caused a LOT of people to start listening to the audio dramas. Pretty cool stuff.

Dam this mini-episode was awesome and filled it a lot of missing holes.
