Family System?
#1
Reading over a list of rewards for points, I saw a reward that warps people. You can visit or kidnap them. :o
But does it work on Maple Island? Can you join a family from Maple Island? :f6:

Yes. The family isnt reached by a NPC, but another person sending invite in same map. So you could have a maple island family.... o_o

So if you started it on Maple Island, someone left, invited other characters, and got enough points... they could warp to Maple Island? D:

I've decided to call this system "Maple Slavery."
Basically, get a bunch of kids (sons/daughters) and force them to train so that YOU benefit. They get nothing out of it from what I hear. If you're feeling generous you might share with them some of your benefits, but it's far from required.

-_- Just let them come back to Maple Island for free already. They're only about a step or two away from that.

Man, I have been unable to find any real information on this system at all. I know you get points based on the people under you gaining experience and leveling, got that down. I only know of two apparent rewards from it though, the 30 minutes of 2x, and warping, I guess, at least according to this topic.

Now, I'm unaware of whether or not KMS ever got 2x exp cards in their CS, so I probably won't be able to find out if this is somehow stackable yet, right? On top of that, what are the other rewards, and how does the entire system for? As in screen shots I've seen, there's a branch system.

If anyone could provide or point me in the right direction for this information, I'd appreciate it. I've done searches, here, google, other places. Can't find any real information about.

here's the list of things you can buy with family points, stolen from my good friend jess!

300 = Write the name of the person you want to go see, it will not work if you're in the FM. It will brings you to this person with no regard to the continent.
500 = Write the name of the person you want to warp to your map, it will not work if you're in the FM. It will brings this person to you with no regard to the continent.
700 = It gives 1.5x drop for only you for 15min.
800 = It gives 1.5x exp for only you for 15min.
1000 = Make a party with you + 5 members of your direct family, needs to be son or grandson. if you don't see them in your family tree, it wont work. so if you have a party of you + 5 members of your direct family, you can get 2x exp and 2x drop for 30min for only 1000 points! but its hard to get 6 members at the same time, that's why it's only 1000!
1200 = It gives 2x drop for only you for 15min.
1500 = It gives 2x exp for only you for 15min.
2000 = It gives 2x drop for only you for 30min.
2500 = It gives 2x exp for only you for 30min.
4000 = It gives 2x drop for your party for 30min.
5000 = It gives 2x exp for your party for 30min.

and no, kMS doesn't have 2x cards in the cash shop. the family bonus does not work with 2x exp events though, so I imagine it probably won't stack with exp cards on global either.

When your children gain experience/level up, you get points. Slavery ftw. <3

Shame you can only use the bonuses once every 24 hours. Wink

Not sure about grandchildren, but I know it doesn't work from the top of the bottom. You only get points from below you. If it worked both ways, it wouldn't be slavery. xP

You indirectly have grandchildren because your children can have children, and your father/mother can have a father/mother, so it goes out like that. Most people have a level 200 as a great-great-great-great-great-grandparent.

Thank you, blitzkrieg.

I fail to see how any of this would lead to the downfall of Maple, especially compared to the stuff GMS manages to do, that has yet to lead directly to any sort of a downfall. I mean, the biggest reward you get is 30 minutes of 2x, which is only useable once a day, and apparently isn't even stackable with other forms of 2x.

I wouldn't worry, KMS has yet to do anything game breaking, they seem to keep everything rather even, yes, even with the addition of Cygnus.
