I highly doubt they're thinking that. That's like saying "Blizzard thinks they can take on the online TCG / CCG market, because of HearthStone."

Regardless, I instantly opt'd in for the beta and I'm hyped to play this.

Personally I think this is going to be really pomegranate. Theres no purpose in lasthitting in this game, and you cant buy any items. I just dont see how this would be successful if this was an endless battle between 5 people until someone reached a level where x hero dominates them all.

Obviously thats just me assuming how it will go, but just look at how standar laning is in LoL because you cant deny creeps, its the same thing everytime.

And I think its weird if they let us play the diablo character as a hero.

I have yet to see the mechanics of this game so I don't know, but if they are going for newbie friendly then I guess this will be the formula.

Nope, from everyone i've heard that has tried HOTS they all say the same, this game has zero competitive aspects(Outside of being player vs player, obviously) and is very casualized.
It'll probably do fine, but it doesn't compete with either dota nor lol.

Not saying this game will be bad, but it's not at all trying to be like any of the existing games in the market.
Which is a good thing, there are probably people who don't find the competitive aspect of the other games interesting at all and will enjoy a super casual game.

I'll definitely give this a try but i already know it wont replace DotA for me.
Hell to me the only interesting thing about this is playing characters i grew up with due to blizzard games LOL.

Everyone gts exprecience by last hitting.
Everyone gets exp/gold by killing an enemy hero.
Jungle is totally weird.
Can we point out that every hero cost $7.50 and their skins $15.00? Sure heroes will be able to be bought with in-game currency but judging by those prices... how much time we'll need ?
There are no turn-rates
Skills(talents) seem really weird to level up
And what's up with the "mounts"?
Pudge on a horse is just ridiculous

I've been watching Husky's stream and the game looks really fun. The skin and hero prices seem really off, but it's Alpha so I'm not concerned. Knowing Blizz we'll probably have a way to acquire the skins without spending money as well.
